Ok.
Here is my 2d house, in South of France.
And the other one, is my Parent's 2d house. We are just as "neighbours" in fact, and there is a way from my home to theirs :)

About my flat in Paris, it is "small"?
I'll take some photos today and upload it here, to give any idea. (32 m²), enough for 2 persons, at beginning, but need to change if a baby would come, next.

Just to let you know, guys.
Related to the 2d house, in fact.
At first, it was a "pigeon loft" (birds loft?) and my father wanted to buy it to an old woman because he wanted to do it a home. and because it was very close to their house, the "area" so could be very big, then.
So...  he got it, and then we could make it a very good home :)

David, what do you want ? a home like that one? :D

Ted, that's it, in fact. It is also very good to be there in May/June/July and even August, when the weather becomes a bit warm. Because of the swimming pool which is outside, man can always be happy'...
^^
Even my daughter enjoys going there... always asking my parents "when will I go there with youuuuuuu" ^^'
The last pic was taken from my phone, as I saw a rainbow close to my house, I thought I could take a nice photo :)

Yes Sylvain...I always dreamed of retiring to a house like that in the South of France...so I could drink fine wine and eat fine food in a wonderful climate for the rest of my life :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

David, this is just a small house but well, on 3 floors ^^'
- Bottom : little kitchen, closets, shower room
- Middle : little place, like a living-room.
- Up : Bedroom

It is very nice for a little house, even if a bit "small" one :)
David, have you even come to France, before?

Sylvain D,

I just realised you are living in France. I would love to live there. You have a very nice place. My sister lives in La Roche. I am traveling to France in december. I will have to post pictures.

My house is directly behind the pick up truck. Yes, the truck is mine too. It is the only picture of my house that I have with me. I only just moved there. The other place is my cottage on the lake up north in Ontario. It is in a remote place. You can even drink the water straight out of the lake. There is no hydro, no flush toilets, no running water. But my cell phone works there!  I can see the dock on google earth so I guess there will be no more nude sunbathing. Hahahaha!

Sylvain

I am English by birth and I was many times on holiday in France when I was younger (that was a Loooong time ago !!!)

Like all English schools in those times, I learned French and still remember some.

I was very happy with the South of France...wine, women and song !!! and great weather. But I fear now that the cost of living and the enormous price for houses makes my dream not so real :icon_cheesygrin:

Dave,

nice house that is one thing i miss about china the red brick homes
i always loved the red brick houses. the last house i bought in Calif
was your standard stucco finish house and over the course of one
summer i redid the house in red brick along with the help of my grandsons
and sons and we had a really great time as i taught them how to lay
the brick. it made for a very unique house in stockton that people
walking their dogs would always stop and talk to me about when they
saw me out front. when i escaped California and came to China there
were 7 houses in the neighborhood that had done the same.

as they say the greatest compliment is when someone copies
your idea :icon_cheesygrin:

Ted

You have touched on the one point that always influences me when I think of moving to China to be with Ming....I dont know if I could cope with living in an Apartment with no garden !!!!

I know there are some pretty swish Apartments to be had....but a few plants on my balcony would not be my idea of "outdoors" :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Maybe I should think about moving to the Country China and get a farm !!!!!...but I got too used to electricity and running water (haha)

David ,

a few cities have small communities popping up just like they have in the
USA with standard houses in planned community. they have them in Guilin
and here on the outside of Guangzhou which i recently discovered. When i
get my permenant residency visa then Sisi and i were talking of buying in one
of these. she just loved it when she saw it and thought it was the greatest
idea since sliced bread  lol

Ted and David E,

I had two rather large vegetable gardens in the house I had with my ex. One was 15' X 120' and the other was 35'x 80'. Had 5 flower beds around the house and 2 stand alone.  Had 60 fruit trees, mostly apple and pear. Also had a couple grape vines too, about 100 feet worth. My property was almost 2 acres. This was in the city. I will be moving again soon. I will miss the gardens the most. This will be the first year I have not grown my own veggies in about 25 years. I'm gonna miss the gardening the most.

Sylvain D,

My sisters place is in La Roche Sur Furon? (I am not sure of the spelling) I usually just say La Roche. It is near Geneva Switzerland. They are about 20 minutes away.  My sister works in Geneva. I have heard of La Rochelle but this is not where they live. I will see if I can find a picture of their place and post it. I'm not sure if I have one with me though.
