A Poet's corner .
« on: March 10, 2010, 12:51:28 pm »
Like to start this Thread for anybody that has ever written a Poem to ones Lady / Wife . Please share .

I been working on this new one for a few day's now and just finished it this morning .

A Singing Flower !

Listen ... listen , one can hear ...
far in the Distance ,
a Song in the Wind .

Listen ... listen , coming like a gentle ...
Breeze towards your Ear .

Feelings ... feelings , are spreading
throughout the Air
giving one a chill
to know something is near .

Listen ... listen , as the Breeze
comes closer .. a Song will follow
it's from my lovely Flower
coming over me like a shower .

A Singing Flower ...
is showing her Love
through a Song to my Ear
Feeling ... feeling ,
that she is indeed very near .

I also will give this to my Brother in-law's Son , that writes Music and see if he can put this into a Song also .

Be careful Arnold - there is a songwriter on here who writes the words and music professionally.  Yours is probably already on its way to Los Angeles!!!

Here is a poem I have been working on over the weekend.

Night after Night

I fall asleep Night after Night
She appears in my dreams
From the darkness dressed in white
Is the angel of my dreams

Night after Night I dont understand why she stays
She touches my hand and cries, now the pain is in sight
The look in her face shows she has been hurting for days
But I can feel her heart is full of love and so very bright

I wonder why Night after Night she appears in my dreams
I try to make her laugh, I try to make her smile
It is trust in men I hope she redeems
A trust in me I have longed for awhile

I continue to dream of her Night after Night
I must be patient for I want her heart
I dont want her to leave her presence is a delight
Even though this is just the start

I want her to return Night after Night!

Yes, it is the first.  I do have a heart full of many other ideas.  I am very glad you started this thread though.  It kinda gives me a voice on the forum again and away to express what I feel.  It indeed is the ladies that bring out our artistic beauty.

Great thread, thank you for sharing.

Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite musicals, second only to Les Miserables.  One of Sir A.L. Webbers best pieces. ( he was knighted wasn't he?)  It is very fitting to this thread also, as from my understanding, that Webber wrote that to showcase Sara Brightman's voice when they were still in the courtship phase of their relationship.  Brightman is one of my favorite female singers.

The other topic, the Osmunds, with Marie in particular.  I had the biggest crush on her in middle school.  A few years ago I was able to enjoy a free concert that she was featured in during the winter concert series that the Air Force Band presents at Constitution Hall here in Washington.  I went with a friend and his girl.  When Marie came out to sing and dance my friends girl leaned over and whispered; "You know that's not her real hair?"  I whispered back; "I am sure though that those ARE her legs!"

I'm sure that if we all put our heads together we could write a TONY nominated show.  China Love: the Musical.  With the drama, passion, I know we would only have to write a few bridging story lines to make it a very enjoyable show.

I have written this poem with anticipation of my up coming trip. I will leave March 30th and be in China until April 21st. The poem plays to the months we are, and will be, in and also tells which airline I will travel with. I hope to have a chance to meet with Shaun and Chong (hey even that kinda rhymes :sleepy:) And I do plan on planting a solid kiss  upon the lips of my wife, thus the jest of my poem.
Enjoy as I am sure, I will.

As this month Marches to its end
Across the sea soar I to my beloved
Tears fall with joy liken April showers
May bring scented flowers
crushed in sweet embrace
Tis a wonderful picture sketched in bliss
of parted lovers united by a wondrous kiss
