Wow, many talented writers.  That nameless songwriter has his job cut out for him.

Ahhh ... somehow I knew Rhonald ( as well as He's been writing about his Adventure's .. Jail and all ) he could muster up a Poem somehow . Now if you put that Pipa down , you might come up with a Song too .:icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Here is a poem I wrote and have used three times now. I am hopeing for the third time to be the charm of course. :icon_biggrin:

My Porcelain Doll

She is so exquisite

She has skin as smooth as silk

She looks like an angel

She has hair flowing like beautiful ribbons

She has eyes that sparkle like diamonds

She has a dazzling smile

She is so petite

She fills the room with happiness

She doesn’t belong sitting on a shelf

She belongs by my side

Nice Chad , you proof not all Poem's need to Rhyme to be wonderful and romantic .

Well Guy's , here is my newest . It's funny how close Chad's and mine ( which I finished last week are ) .

A China Doll

There is a place
far for some soul's
known to be very busy
as it moves with a fast pace .

Many people proud dearly
a beautiful land
taking a wide look
and seeing it clearly
lovely women truely
sometimes tall they stand .

Called by various polls
to have the most awesome sight's
judged by foreigner's eyes
that can make ones walk stall
here I see a china doll .

writing the poems are very nice but i find that i dont have the talent for that.
but i do write my wife long notes and leave for her when she wakes up and also
comes home. i found out last week when she bought something at the store a very
very nice folder which i thought was for her work at the office but in fact when we
got home she had put all the short letters in it and on the front she wrote
   my love letters from Ted

she showed me this with a smile as big as ever on her face

i thought that was really nice and made me feel good that these are so so important
to her that she will save them forever.

just my little twist on this thread even though i dont write poems

Well Arnold,

I might never reach your level, but it was a nice start when I wrote this one.

I have been searching for half the live,
two times I made the wrong choice.
The third time I find the right wife,
but in a far away country she lives.

Many miles away,
but at the same time close.
In my heart she stay,
She will never leave it again.

We have been brought together,
by the unknowable fate.
We have promised to stay forever,
in the heart of the other.

We have the feeling of the soulmate,
the same thought on mind.
Communicate from early to always late,
like real lovers do.

Do not want to let go,
listening to the voice of the mate.
Why would it be though,
sometimes I ask myself.

It not easy a reason to find,
what the heart already knows.
It takes time for the mind,
to understand that we are in love.

Ted , it's really the little things that show sometimes sooo much more .. how one is loved by the other .. than some material things we give or receive .

Hajo , anything worth the effort of writing from the Heart .. is worth more .. than some words spoken . This is truely one way to show a Man's love towards his Lady .
PS: Are you still on your Honeymoon like I am ? I bet you two are .:icon_cheesygrin:

Arnold, why do you think I am so busy?

And you are right, my wife was just speechless as I presented the poem to her.
