Good service from Chinese Visa Direct

I posted off my passport on 9th June , on 10th June i got an email from them confirming they had submitted the passport to the embassy , telling me them expected to get it back 15th June.

Today (15th June) another email from them telling me they have posted the passport to me and giving me the special delivery ref number.

I like the fact they let you know whats happening , i wasn't to keen on posting my passport but had little choice due to distance / time etc ..

Did you have to show tickets for double entry or just one?

Mark

Are you getting a double entry?

They stopped these in 2008 and went to single entry only from UK

Did not have to show a ticket just told them on the application the date I expected to arrive in China.

I went to the Visa office on Holborm Viaduct and asked for a 12 month multiple entry but they would not give that to me. But they offered me a 6 month two entry visa and told me that I could extend that once I was in China but I am applying for a D Visa when I get there.

For info I went to the Chinese Embassy in Portland Place today to do the Chinese side of my legalisation papers.   There was a long queue outside of Chinese people waiting to get in.  DO NOT join the queue go to the front door and ring the bell and the security staff will let you in ahead of the queue for legalisation purposes.  I got there at 9.45 and was out of the building by 9.50 am and without paying extra I will pick them up on Friday morning.

I told them at the counter my purpose was possible marriage and they gave me a 6 months double entry with maximum of 60 days on each entry.  But told me that I could renew or alter this in China whilst I am there.
