Calculating the Cost of 'True Love'

Well of course true love is priceless :heart: + :heart: = :D , but i thought maybe this would be a handy thread especially for newbies .
We all know our journey is going to be expensive so maybe we could help each other by prewarning others about the cost of things and maybe how to save a little cash
I'm going to keep a tally on things and post on this thread and see how the costs mount up as i prepare to see ' my girl ' and what happens after that , i hope it is of interest and benefit to any newbies reading this.

Costs to me so far

Chinalove EMFs - think im lucky here only spent about £30 , now my girl and me email each other and a friend translates for us :)

Flowers to China - there is already a post on here about different florist services , I sent a dozen roses to my girl , next day delivery £20

UK Visa to enter China £115 inc all fees

Return Flights from London to Guangzhou (August) £450

so £715 so far .. and theres going to be a lot more .. I'll keep you posted and let you know when i need a second job !!

Guy's , make sure you keep all the receipt's of what you have spend . So when the time comes , your Lady knows how much she owe's you . So , she can reimburse you fully .

Hehe , that's ok Mark . It's not the first time being called Crazy .

Seriously though , looking back and adding my fourth Trip in August , it's been between $ 15,000 to $20,000 so far . Still .. I'm by myself in my lonely House .
 
So it's not your average Soul-mate finding venture , for sure .

i totally agree its not 'the norm' Im not minted but i can and will be able to afford to visit my girl quite often , i feel for anyone who falls in love and has to save long and hard to get back to his girl , but you can't put a price tag on love !

No you can't put a price on Love . It's only a shame , some of us have to go through so much more trouble to find it , while other's it almost comes to them with little problem's . Talking about , having to earn it , from some of our member's here . But then , who said the world is fair ? Some day though , i'm sure we all have our wonderful Lady/ Wife by our sides and it all work's out for the very best .

Mmmm so far, my expendature.
$850 plane tickets,
$646 EMF,
$80 Valentines & Birthday,
$75 New years,
$43 Random Cholocate just because,
$62 Roses, pictures and Chocolatet just because again.
$240 on Visa
$130 of Passport,
$400 on hotels, reservations, train tickets, gifts for parents and older brother. Breakfast at each hotel for both of us where we will be staying.
$165 in silver for gifts I made for her ^_^
$35 for roses for mothers day, and a phone call from mom!!!!!! ^_^ :D
$120 for phone charges since we've been speaking on the phone.
And I aint got to China yet.  And planning on moving to China around new years.

8,ooo airfare wife and son last 2 times
1,200 visas me and my son
300 medical check
2,500 wedding party in China
400 consulate Guanzghou
1,000 gifts
2,400 hotel
1,800 lawyer
400 paperwork
4,000 walking cash.I don't pay for much anymore
1,000 adjust status
700 perminent green card.

24,000 give or take a couple of thousand.I would do it all again just for this kind of adventure.

Vince you must be up around 300 letters total for the both of you. I figure I spent around 1200 on emf's and I just passed 300 letters for the both of us. I only wrote to one girl.

I didn't really want to know But I wanted to see if my CCd had a full history and it did. So I took the totals of all the chnlove from the start, Sept. 9/07. I knew when I started writing my lady Aug. 22/08 so I got the total. In total I spent over $2500.00 in EMF's. Why I didn't want to know? I see it as could have used that money to go there in person? It's not a waste of money but a learning experience, and met many people and friends along the way.
