yes very cool Daghoi -makes one realize how insignificant or how small we are.
Anyone can pick up an apple off the ground, but the sweeter ones take a little work to get to!!

It's visual reminder of just what deadly, high energy particles are being deflected by the Eath's Magnetic field. Without the Aurora, all this high energy stuff would be blasting the Earth's surface....no way there could ever be life under this scenario..........we sure live on a cosmological knife-edge !!!!
