2. Thank you. I am thinking of you. I'll wait for your letter - xie (thank) xie (thank) ni (you) wo (I) zai (think) ze (of) ni (you) deng (wait) ni de (your) lai (coming) xin (letter)

Quick question, if you actually wrote some of these phrases in a private email would they be able to understand /read them or do the girls only understand Chinese characters? I know Japanese understand western characters but not too sure if they are commonly used in china.

Wo wei lai de lao po jiao Li Ling- This is my future wife Li Ling
Wo de nv peng you jiao Li Ling - This is my girlfriend Li Ling
Wo shi zhong guo nv hai de lao gong - I am a Chinese ladies husband.

I think nv is pronouced like nü - Arnold or anyone confirm?
