Maybe the 200 dollar fine is less than a 200 pound fine, but in the end death is death so how do they plan on collecting?

Maybe the Newcastle sign-maker figured only an American tourist might put this to the test, hence the threat of a 200 dollar fine!
Just kidding :D

haha, the Zoo is hilariously charming.

The japanese are world champions at creating impossible grammatical errors too that results in the most obscure sentences.

In korea i never saw any at all. But then, if you want a coke there you will find it far away in some corner collecting dust.
And we passed Mc Donalds in central Seoul .. it was empty. Lotteria (local equivalent) 20 meters ahead was full. An odd sight

The photo of them cooking on shovels over a fire wasn't that unique actually.  Check out this wikipedia entry about "Hoe Cakes".  (No it's not the breakfast of choice for ladies of dubious reputation.)

Now this would definitely come in handy.  Especially when I go to mama's house with the squat toilet.

Talk to Okie Rob...he bought a camping toilet to put over top of the squat..it seemed to work for him.

The toilets are not all that bad.  I was worried until I finally had to use one.  I couldn't hold it much beyond 11 days.  :o  Of course I practiced squatting before I took my trip.  Squatting down isn't the problem.  It is getting back up that presents the real issues.  What makes matters worse is a beer belly or bad knees.

Hehe I got a smile of those squat toilets. Thinking about those... And then it came to me. That I've been through worse.

The Finnish army. Camping at our northern part of the country. On a hill that was quite high. It was winter, around -25 celcius. 1 meter of snow and in some places more. Because were on a hill... You can guess that its windy there. And because it was winter. We had quite a lot of clothes on.

So once the time came... Had to find a tree to somehow help with the balance. Then you had to clear the snow from that spot. Then freeze your ass and balls off while the wind is blowing hard. Also hoping that your pants are not too close to the target position...
So this trip could really take 30minutes easily. And all that time it was so cold.

I learnt a new diet then. So I wouldn't have to do that again too many times.

But these are in a small room, and it shouldn't be freezing. I think I can handle these toilets hehe.

yah those fins get pretty hardened and grim when "Pakkanen" comes riding down the Karelian to whip their arses with maelstroms of frost. Thats why the Ruskis could never break through ;)

Yes but Jan these ladies do not like to heat their houses in the winter.  It will be the same conditions but not as cold.  ;D
