Title: Matchmaking
Post by: Willy The Londoner on November 08, 2013, 12:12:31 am
My wife has been matchmaking!

Her eldest daughter is arriving today for the weekend to meet a potential husband.

She is 26 and the man is 31 and he owns the local pharmacy and his parents are both doctors.   ( I wondered why we have quite a good stock of lotions and potions now.)

Its going to be an interesting weekend!  I think I will have a lot to learn about being the stepfather of adult Chinese children!

Bit of an anticlimax!

She described him as only 'so so'.

Actually, aside from her not finding happiness, I find it refreshing to not hear of a Chinese woman swooning because a guy has money and success.

Good for her, for holding out for true love!  ;D

I do not think money etc will come into the equation. She has her own online business and she has started another with her mother selling ladies fashion online in the UK.  They will be earning more than me soon.

Well Willy. your quite the entrepreneur. I followed the two urls you have listed here. Are those your businesses? Very interesting but I didn't see your wife's shops anywhere. Fiona is doing the same thing here but we haven't gone online with it yet. She is still planning her  inventory.

The two you see below are all mine. I have another I share with Scottish Robbie.  www.myweddingspeeches.co.uk

My wife and daughter sell on TMall - surprised me just how many Mainland Chinese woman order on line these days.  The UK E-bay is coming along nicely.

I have a reason to keep working as I need to keep my brain as active as possible.
