These pictures let some know that in spite of the odds there is indeed success to be found.
The pictures are of my fiancee’ – absolutely beautiful – as we all think of our women, and my adopted daughter (former translator), and brother (former officer in the Chinese military). Both are part of my company in China.
So yes there are challenges but the possibilities are tremendous – for those who dare to be different and not accept the norm.
These photos were taken in July 2009. I have been to China twice. I am headed back in September and have an Office in Handan.

David, I agree! Part luck, part paying attention to this forum, and part smile - and in that order!
-
I have to agree she is a beautiful woman, you dog. :icon_biggrin:
Is it that you are so use to wearing blues? or is it a coincidence?
-
Great photos metooap.. Where in China did you take the photos ?
-
metooap,
Well you can't argue with that!!, the proof is in the pudding!! ...OK the photo's ...haha!!
You have yourself there a beautiful woman, a new life, and by the sound of it a new adopted country.
That to me sounds like a threefer metooap, your selling yourself short...hahaha!!
All the very best you brother...
David......

Hi, You know about the Air Force blue -hun. No this was strictly a coincidence.
But why did you call me a dog man? :icon_biggrin: You have a beautiful lady yourself - I didn't call you a dog. I started too though!!
-
Yes Airman or is it Ex-Airman, I know the uniform. I signed up for the AF in the early 80's. My then Gf talked me out of it? It would have been a dream to be a pilot but lets face it? Electronic Tech. it was going to be. Plus my buddy, who introduced me to my now Ex joined. He was stationed in Italy, I believe he lives in New Mexico now?
So when I saw the blue I wondered? :icon_cheesygrin:
-
Vince you are right on target. You would have loved it.
You would have made one hell of a pilot - of course I would have taken a pass on sitting in the other seat though.:icon_biggrin:
I was a missile launch officer - about 60 feet below the ground.
Had a great time ~ learned a lot!
-
Metooap , very nice photo's . You do deserve a big thumb's up , for finding such wonderful looking Lady .
She is as pretty as the Rose , which she received form you I imagine ? Also a Romantic Dude as myself . Haha
Thanks for sharing . Oh , yes I like to know too , where in China were these taken ?
-
Oh, David50,
You are right - it is a threefer!
I guess it is all in how you look at things.
As you probably already know - like some here - I have a permanent smile on my face!:icon_biggrin:
I want some more of that pudding too!
-
Nice to see that a man with brown skin can date and marry a Chinese lady. I am an African American (Black). Good luck.
-
Froseman,
Thanks for the comments. But I have made other post on your comment – and my point is simple. It is not about color. When I look at my fiancée all I see is beauty inside and out with a dash of craziness. When she looks at me, all she sees is a guy, with a smile that shows her every day that she is a very special person.
Just as Arnold said – a romantic kind of guy.
With this approach I just keep smiling; because it is not about color – It is about – and go ahead and call me corny – it is about love.
-
Peter, Arnold,
The first 4 photos were taken in Rushan a city on the ocean; this is where my fiancee’s parents live 7-8 months out of the year.
The one with the rose and ring was taken in Handan on her birthday this month.
The next 5 were taken in Jiuzhaigou, ?HuangLong) www.huanglong.com (http://www.huanglong.com), and Qingdao.
The last 6 starting with the handshake were taken in Beijing.
-
Thanks metooap , all this in one Trip ?
Your so right , LOVE does not see color , it see's the Heart of the other Person .
-
Arnold,
Yes in one trip! I thought I was back int the Air Force!
Now she promises me that in September we will simply stay in Handan. But I will believe that when I see it!
Imagine if people of the world would find the balance to take the challenge to find what you and I have.......color would be insignificant and there would not be too many arguments that would amount to any thing.
-
Metooap,
" Imagine if people of the world would find the balance to take the challenge to find what you and I have.......color would be insignificant and there would not be too many arguments that would amount to any thing. "
If only this could be true, then we would all just argue about prices like my wife does :icon_cheesygrin:
Good luck and best wishes brother
-
Michael,
Somehow I get the feeling your wife probably wins most of these scrimmages!
And you know what? - I bet she does not call them arguments - just getting the most for her money!
-
Metooap, your right, check out my post " happy now " and read about the Wal-mart adventure, I swear its all true.
I have never seen her lose one of these, shall we call them "discussions" over a price or the amount of product she should receive for her money, I think this is great entertainment to watch her in action, hell some of the shop keeper see her coming and try to leave thier own stores, its like they just know they are going to lose money.
-
Michael,
I already read your post!!!
In fact a couple of times.
I smiled when she said in essence, this is made in China so I know how much it cost.
I have watched with amazement at these "discussions." I bet that store manger still does not know what hit him.
-
metooap.
You want MORE pudding?? ....You greedy sod! hahaha!!
David....
-
David,
Absolutely as much as I can get!:icon_cheesygrin:
Make no mistake about it!!!!
-
Guy's , that got to be the funniest thing that happened on the way to the Forum !!!! If anybody remember's that Movie ? Hahaha
The Walmart story got to be the sequal or part II . hahaha
-
I absolutely love the Wal mart story. it is my favorite one from the whole web site. And congrats metooap. I hope you will be as happy as I am with my Lao po. By the way she only wants to be called Mrs. Burk now. I dont know but she ways, that "says it all" how she feels, what she wants to be and who she is. So I am to call her Mrs. Burk and she calls me Mr. Burk. Funny.
-
JimB, I am happy - as they say very very happy!
Now, I admit Mrs. Burk! this is funny! This is okay.
Now tell me just how far does she go with this...?
-

Is this for real's ? It sure looks that way , Sly .
They do become Spoiled ... don't they ?
-

For sure, they look like being spoiled... I guess it is because there are not so many of them, by now?
Anyway, I really like the photo... so cute on it :)

I once heard; "In order to receive the great reward, you must be willing to take a great risk." Congratulations in your success and perseverance.

Thanks for the great words!
I just returned from my third trip and I will post some pictures shortly.
I agree with the words wholeheartedly.
A star has crossed my path - and this star is someone that is really precious inside and out!
So I am all smiles.
Talking about a pampered Panda, I have to get use to this stuff.
I am not use to a beautiful lady always asking me what I want - having me drink first, or putting more food on my plate.
Really, when we look at things guys - most of us are now just like this pampered Panda.
Arnold where are you?
Tell the truth, we will not laugh! Only smile!
-
Really, when we look at things guys - most of us are now just like this pampered Panda.
Now ... who is bothering me here ? Can't you see I'm being " Pampered " by my Wife and busy ? And she is not even here yet . But , I am going to get " Spoiled " soon ... as Qing is finally coming on 21 st of November to LAX . Talking about being " Happy " . Me ... NO !
NOT

Mike - mpo4747
I agree with you about the Pampered Panda or a "PP".
But why only limit this PP to the married guys.
You are going to tell me you are not pampered too?
Come on and fess up! :icon_biggrin:
Arnold,
Congratulations!!!!!
How long did the process take?
-
Metooap , it took a week over a year ... with two Visit's in that time . Glad this is over , now ... getting her use to her new surrounding's , might or will take longer . But , the main thing is we're together and can both work on that part .
-
Arnold
you sure are a Pampered Panda or a "PP"
hey that is what we should call all you married guys
Pampered Panda's LOL :D
Here's a photo of those who are waiting :

Well I know what you mean...it is amazing. I pinch myself.
I Know I am a Pampered Panda - and proud of it too! :icon_biggrin:
