Title: Renewing Chinese Passport
Post by: kenny on January 18, 2015, 09:09:32 pm
Have anybody had to renew a chinese passport here in the states for their wife or child?

I need to renew Ziwei's passport, it expires in March. I have tried to contact the consulate in Chicago and of course cannot talk to anyone. I got a email back but it is in chinese and confusing. Linda is going to call the embassy in Shenyang and try to find out what we need. All the info I seem to get back is about applying for a Visa. I cant believe it is a big deal but I hate to go up there and not have everything I need and I cant find any application form at all.

Thanks for any help or information anybody has.

Kenny

Thanks Robert, the New York office returns emails the next day to me but Chicago doesnt respond at all. I did get a woman on the phone a couple days ago form there but she seemed to be in a hurry.

We are going up there Sunday, weather permiting and be in the office when they open Monday. I dont think it will be too bad. The woman did tell me that now that Ziwei is 16 years old she could do this herself ofcourse I dont expect that.

Anyway thanks for the link to New York it was very helpful.
