I just wanted to make an announcement to all who know me and my relationship with Ping from Wuhan. We are no longer together after a ten month online relationship. The reasons? Well, there are many but I'll skip all that and just list off some of the most important factors to why I broke up with her. (None of these are in any particular order)
1. First of all, Ping has been sending me some weird letters the past couple weeks. Asking me about my finances. A long time ago she said to me she was saving up her money for when she goes to university in Halifax. Recently, she asked me if I can afford to pay for her studies. Also, she expects me to pay for our living expenses, get a car, pay for the immigration document fees and the plane tickets to get her to my city.....I simply can't afford to do all of this on my salary. It was starting to feel she was only saying she loved me to get into Canada. I have no proof of this however without meeting her face to face...but my gut feeling told me I should end it before it got worse.
2. Secondly, because of the above reason and many others, I was slowly falling out of love with her. The lust was still there but that's not enough for me to keep a relationship going. It wouldn't have been fair to either of us. I was also at the same time falling in love with another lady. We're now boyfriend and girlfriend and I'm super excited to be going to China in the future still :) this lady and are quickly becoming closer and closer...much faster than Ping and I ever did because Ping never allowed me to call her, I asked her if she'd chat with me on MSN or QQ and she said no. Our only communication was translated emails. Quite often, my questions I asked wouldn't get answered. Anyway, this new lady...we speak on Webcam everyday. :) So we're learning more and more about each other so much quicker.

Just goes to show, one door closes and another opens. Good on ya brother.

Josh , not in my wildest dreams would I ever have thought , this would happen to you and Ping , of all People .
No wonder you were so quiet and hardly posted here with us , which I thought is strange knowing you so well . I'm really feel for you Josh , we are very similar in our thought's and upbringing , even with our age difference , which did not matter at all . Even having found a new Lady , I know how much it hurt's you , to have treasured Ping like no other .
But I want the best for you , so .. if this is a new beginning for you , be careful not to get your Heart broken again .. ok buddy !
-
Josh, I feel for you man. However I am not surprised at all in the turn of events. Sorry, I haven't been writing you lately, haven't been writing any of the guys as of late. All along I got the impression that you were simply a means to an end. Truth be told Mei was about the same exact thing, forever asking how much I can make teaching and can I give her money to enlarge her shop etc. If it is about finances the smartest thing you can do is to walk away like you did. Really happy to see you bounced back with someone's that is willing to meet you halfway. Where is the new girl located at? Are you close to Shenzhen at all? This new one sounds promising though. You're a good guy this time I think she could be the one for you. Just take it slow because look what happened to me rushing this thing. Take care and I'll drop you a line later today, no school Dragon Day Festival.

I was wondering where you had got to, my friend! Sad to hear it didn't work out, but best wishes for you and your new lady! :D Tell us more!!!!
-
Josh, so sorry to hear it.
-
Yes, it sure is sad. You take a great chance when you start an adventure like the one we're on. You can throw your everything into it and still it can end in disappointment. The pain and sorrow will pass. Each day will get easier. Till then, know you're among friends.
-
That explains the quiet mode from you. Bummer it happened the way it did. But lucky you caught it early enough before things were out of control. Ya still looking in Wuhan or did you go out of the box.
-
Chet , to answer your question ( looking in Wuhan ) he has found a very special Lady in Guangzhou , that has been my close friend for some time now . But I will let him give further info . on that . I am after all not his spokes person ( Hehe ) . But I am happy for Josh to have another wonderful Lady that appreciates him for who he is .
-
Arnold are you going to be charging Josh an agency fee?...:D
-
Josh sorry to hear about Ping.:s But I wish you the best of luck with the new lady!
Big Dave
-
Arnold are you going to be charging Josh an agency fee?...:D
Rhonald , no I wont , but if it was LILY .. yes I would . ;)
-
Josh so sorry to hear that mate......But keep your head up brother:)
-
Don't worry about me guys. Any heartbreak I've been feeling has been snuffed out by my Guangzhou lady. :D
Arnold, she's been my friend a long time too. I had a crush on her for a long time but never said anything to anyone because I felt it would have been inappropriate due to the fact i was still technically with Ping even though I was beginning to become unhappy with her after I came to the realization that I couldn't afford the life style she so desired. That made me feel like a failure. And maybe I am. I work at the movie theatre and I have no added education beyond high school. :( Ping assumed everyone in the Western world was wealthy enough to own a car and when I told her I didn't have one and couldn't afford one, she told me she was disappointed. Anyway, enough with Ping. She's out of my life and now I have a wonderful, sexy, gorgeous, intelligent, funny, honest, loyal, caring, kind.....amazingly perfect lady in Guangzhou. (Thank you for the intro, Arnold;)) She knows English fairly well so I can save myself hundreds of dollars from translation fees each month. All that extra coin is being tossed in the savings account. :D
-
So, the more and more we talk, the more and more I find out she has something else in common. I'd marry this lady right now if given the opportunity :icon_biggrin: She's millions and millions times better for me than Ping ever could be. :icon_cheesygrin: She's unbelievably perfect!
-
Nice one josh happy things are working out for you mate.
-
Josh , there is that PERFECT Lady for everyone and that goes for the bad Guy's too . Like alway's attract the like , better to make it all work .
-
Hey Josh, I was a little heartbroken to hear that you felt like a failure. You should never let a girl get you down like that man. The brotherhood is made up all walks of life. We all work hard in our own right (me at being laid off again). When it comes down to it we all deserve to be happy. Men who are here looking for the genuine love only a chinese woman can offer, are the men in this would who still have kind, caring compassionate hearts. You my friend are a good man and deserve to feel like a success. I am happy to hear that you are back up on the bike riding again down the path of love.
-
Josh riding the bike on the path of love. Are you sure you are on the right site. This isn't the poetry corner you know. Just busting on you.
Bodybuilding with a heart, what will the guys at the gym think. You're a good egg just joshing with you. There now you have a real good reason to flame back at me. Josh it's all good we're all misfits from western society so I feel you bro.

Jessie brings out the best in me......I'm sure I haven't experienced the absolute best in me quite yet though. That will come in time, when we're together. Ping made me feel like a failure, Jessie makes me feel like a success even though I have a crap job. We've been talking and making plans for our future. She has family in the states. New York and California. I want her to be as happy as I can make her so I've agreed to move to the States with her in the future. Our simplified goals are; Live together in Guangzhou for 3 years or so, move to my city of Halifax and live there for about 2 years and then move to California. So......Arnold.....it's very possible we'll be neighbours. :icon_cheesygrin: Oh Arnold, are you here? *poke*. haha. So anyway, I very much hope these plans can become reality.
-
and then move to California. So......Arnold.....it's very possible we'll be neighbours. :icon_cheesygrin: Oh Arnold, are you here? *poke*. haha.
Oh no it wont . My Neighbor's are not going anywhere soon . With me around , nobody want's to move .
But , you have about 10 year's to move close to me and that would be great . But after that time I would like to be in Shanghai and be kicking back and take the Spanking's like a Man .

Bustin Balls I have nothing for you right now but I will get you back. maybe with a poem of some sort. Bodybuilders with no heart are standing next to me on stage wondering why the got second. Haha. Helll I dont even know if that made much sense. We are misfits for sure. Unfortunately I will not get to be a misfit while I am in china. Xu Le is staying at my hotel with me in beijing and I am staying with her in baoding. No hell raising for me. Though she did say the family loves to drink. HAHA!!!
-
Hay Josh M., be very careful of that stuff they call wine, some of it could choke a maggot and others could not you for a loop and you wouldn't even know it until you try to stand up.
There have been to many times when Baba wanted me to drink with him, I think he just wanted to see me crawl, hahaha
-
Josh what Michael is telling you is true.Go real easy on the terpintine they drink over there. It is very potent. One bottle of beer over there is like drinking a six pack here. And you don't even know it till you try to stand up.
-
Remember Josh lives in Germany , us German's know how to drink Beer ... any Beer .:icon_cheesygrin:
-
Sorry guys but all a US 6 pack will do is make you pee, its not just that it has little strength but its so hard to find any with flavour and what happens next is they bring out a light version, lol.
On the up side there are some great wines from california.
Some of the chinese beers have a little more flavour but the wine [grapes] is truely awful, the other wine [rice] has a bite to it, but not what you would normally drink with a meal. The foods fantastic, but trying to find the right drink to accompany it is difficult.
-
Arnold I have drank alot of German beer.I used to have a landlord who was from Germany.Every Sunday he would come over to my apartment and we would drink beer that he had shipped from Germany.Every weak it was a different beer.So I probably drank every beer made in Germany.
German beer is good beer. But it is not even close to the horsepiss that they drink in China. The beer they drink in China. Will make you see things if you drink enough of it.It will make you think that you are 10 feet tall and buillet proof.
Chinese beer is not to be fooled with.Drink in moderation. If you don't drink in moderation You could wake up in a hospital. If your lucky you will just have alchool poisning. If your unlucky you could wake up blind our you could not wake up at all.
-
Meh, pack of big girls blouses. I drank plenty of beer with no ill effects.
Snow beer is the worlds biggest sellinging beer, even more than Budweiser, considering most of it is sold in china it gives you an idea of their internal market. 0.6 litre bottles in the Carre4 supermarket costs about 2.4RMB - thats about 40 euro cents, i think you even get something back if you leave back the bottles, but i never bothered.
The day an Irishman cannot handle his beer is the day it aint worth dinking!
-
You want potent beer? Move to Halifax. (Or at least visit) :icon_cool:
-
Argarn is right . The US Beer's are all a very successful attempt to water down Beer . If somebody want's to drink a real ( knock you down Beer) try EKU from the Swiss . It's 28 % compared to 3 to 5 for other's . One Six-pack is all you need at about $ 20 a sixer .
Budweiser was a huge Sponsor for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany , but you think anybody from the Local's would ever even try it ... NO . Why should they , with the great Beer they have ... it would be a big step backward's .
-
I'm not a big beer drinker but Budweiser? :s I think is crap. There better beers are alright? Not looking to get knocked down either. :icon_biggrin:
-
Hey Vince budweiser is pee in a can.
Like many people in the UK i often wondered what was the point of Belgium, nothing seemed to happen there of any importance, a bit short of famous heros etc, unless you include Tin Tin, like most people i drove through it to reach another country, until the time that i visited Spa for the 24 hour racing, let me tell you Belgium is the beer capital of the world, the choice of colour, strength, and flavours is endless, you could drink different beers all day for months, it truely is a beer drinkers paradise, damm im thirsty.

Mike, Advertising. The Bud name is out there at every event. They took the name like it is the only American beer? Same as Marlboro cigarettes. (I think it has changed now) but at one time everyone smoked it? Except me of course. I guess that goes for everything "American" Bud, Marlboro and Chevrolet And add in American Women and you have things I don't buy. :icon_cheesygrin:
