Title: Happy now!!!
Post by: MLM on March 29, 2009, 03:54:19 pm
Hi all, I had been talking with a woman from Fujian for about three months now, I haven't said anything about this to anyone here or at Chnlove because I didn't know if it would last, and by the way she is here in the States, has been for 5 years and has devorced her American husband for 2 years now, any way, we went back to China a month ago because her mother was sick and in the hospital, she was dying and my lady wanted to see her one last time so off we went, while we were there I asked her to marry me and she said yes, her Uncle arranged so the wedding ( Buddist ) was held in the hospital room so Mama could see her daughter being married, two days later Mama died, well we are home now with her daughter and my son trying to make two houses one home and two cultures one, it's not easy but it sure will never be boring.
I am the happiest man in the world with the exception of maybe those others that are married to a Chinese woman, to those of you that have known me for awhile I hope you understand my not saying anything before this as I wanted to talk it over with my Lao Po first.
For those of you who are still in a search, and those that are still in the early part of a relationship, don't give up, keep at it, and above all remember these things,
1) Chinese women DO NOT want to be controlled but at the same time they want some limits from you.
2) Chinese women can be very very jealous and need reassurances from you.
3) Don't just say you love her, you need to SHOW her you love her, remember, words are cheap and I don't mean $$    wise, do little things for her or better yet for her family or better still her child.
4) always remember that she will think better of you if you ask her for her opinion on anything.
There is more you should know but, that is all I'm going to say for now, again good luck and have fun.
Bye the way so's you know I asked her opinion about posting this before I did it. LOL

Congrats Michael.  I would like to hear about your wedding though.  i understand it was probably a little rushed but what was the ceremony like.  My lady is also a Buddhist, although not a big practitioner. But I think she would probably want a wedding like that.  If  we had one my way it would be sort of weird.  A Southern Christian Democrat Buddhist wedding.  I wouldnt even know where to begin with that one. lol.  Your list is also a good one I think. There are 3 things to a long term marriage.  The 3 C's.  Commitment, Communication and the ability to Completely Cave in when necessary lol.  (Actually it is Compromise.  The first two are mandatory and the third saves a lot of arguments.

Hi guys, sorry for the late come back been in the mountians with my new wife and our two children, what a blast, they never seen white tailed deer up close before or bears, never been on a horse also, I never laughed so much in my life.
Jadams, thank you but her Mama was very sick for a long time and the Chinese do deal with this differently then we do it seems.
Rob, yeah it's mostly common sense like you've said and thats why we tend to forget them.
Arnold, thank you, you and Maxx know more about what I have been through then most and sorry I could not say more about this amazing woman before but, she asked me to wait before I told anyone outside of family, she is from Fujian, and has been here in the states long enough to now have her 10 year Green card.
JimB, well yeah it was rushed a bit, but it made Mama happy to see her little girl being married, there was a monk there and he said a few things in Chinese of course ( I still don't know what he said ), there were two small brass cups of wine tied together be a thread of red silk, we had to pick them up intwine ourarms and drink the wine in the cups with out breaking the thread, not as easy as it looks, the monk said somethink else and I could take off that silly looking hat, but, my new wife looked like a princes, after we returned home we were married in a church, I think I liked the buddist wedding better, much faster.
It was a little crowded in the hospital room but it was fun, we had a big meal there from a resturant delivered to the room, the doctors and nurses stopped in anytime they could, and the most remembered thing to me is that when ever we are not together, it hurts inside and I wouldn't trade this for the world. :D

Thanks guys, did you know that according to Zhou, that soft serve choc.ice cream and steamed smelts are very good together :P, and tried to make me taste it, the smell was bad enough for me, and she wonders why women must get sick in the mornings or after noon, I know and she knows it's hormones but I told her it's what she is eating, hell it turns my stomach watching her eat it, I didn't know there could be so much to eat on a chicken neck and head :P, have any of you fellows ever had this going on or is this chicken thing only a Chinese thing?
Just so's you all know, I  Zhou very much and wouldn't trade any of this ( well maybe the smelts and ice cream ) for the world.
Zhou has asked me to say Ni Hao to you all and to also say Xiexie ni to her big brothers ( she has this look on her face  ).

Peter, I thought about puting him outside with a dog house but he kinda adopted Zhou even if she doesn't want to be, if she gets up to go to the kitchen he is right there behind her, she goes to the bathroom he's outside the door waiting, if she gets up and goes to the kitchen and stops short he walks into her and she is always asking me to make him stop, well have you ever tried to make a pitbull do what he doesn't want to do, forgetaboutit, it's not happening, the only time he is not with her is when we are working, he's my partner and very good at his job, he likes me but he loves her.

Arnold, I know what your saying, our kids ( My son and her daughter ) have just received thier progress reports Friday and they each are failing one subject each, Zhou went from all smiles and joking with me to a screaming banchee, you see she is a teacher in thier school and will have them next year, she pushes them very hard about schooling, in my house she will have them doing homework as soon as they get in, it takes about 1 1/2 hours for this, then she says they must study for an hour each night, then it's supper time, after this is free time ( my sons words ) even on this holiday weekend they will be studing for an hour each day so now you see why she is so angry with them, she is taking this as a personal insult and is not pleased at all, also, did you notice they will not let it go, they can rant for hours on one subject?

Title: RE: Happy now!!!
Post by: Paul Todd on May 28, 2009, 12:50:05 pm
Err, found this!

They're steel rods swathed in flowers," said well known Australian born Hong Kong Journalist Richard Hughes, who was happily married for many years, til death did them part, to a Chinese wife.

Perhaps no truer words were ever spoken, at least about some Chinese women. In fact, to my mind, Chinese ladies seem to come in two basic varieties. Either they are very strong willed or extremely docile. Since I've never had any desire for a docile woman, I am discussing here that other type - "the steel rod swathed in flowers". This woman will care for you, cook for you, keep a great home for you and shower you with love and affection, and she will smote your enemies with the strength of God - so long as you don't cross her. But when you cross her, you immediately become your own worst enemy, and brother, then she will smote you.

The big problem is that you don't necessarily know what will be seen as having crossed her. In your innocent Western thinking you naively believe that so long as you are faithful and true, so long as you bring home the bacon, so long as you are polite and courteous and so long as you refrain from anything drastic like not coming home for two nights, or physically striking her, you should be pretty safe. Well surprise!!!

You cross your Chinese Lady when you cause her to lose face, and there are roughly a million ways to cause her to lose face, each one of which you must learn by trial and error. I have learned a few, but it does little good for me to list them for you, because "a little knowledge is a bad thing". It will just make you comfortable when you should least be comfortable. But I will give you an example of how I caused my Chinese wife (as she then was) to lose face.

We owned a small bar in China at the time which we took turns managing, and which we kept open as long as there was a paying customer to serve. One night she went home at 1 AM but I hung in there with some friends of mine (because they were spending a great deal of money) until about 4 AM, then headed home when they did. We had both done this many times in the past, and she knew exactly where I was and who I was with, so I felt quite secure as I quietly unlocked the door to our home and tiptoed in to avoid waking her.

Well, it turned out that, unbeknownst to me, she and a friend had been talking earlier in the evening, and the friend had indicated that her husband never stayed out past 1 AM, and the friend was very proud of that. So on that particular evening I caused my wife to lose face by not coming home with her at 1 AM. I had caused her great shame in the eyes of her friend (how the friend knew I had stayed out late was never explained) and this was no small loss of face, if you can judge by the near bloodletting I suffered for my crime. And yet, the next time I stayed out late, in the same circumstances except for the intervening friend, all was well. Go figure!

The good news is that unlike Western Women, who will make you pay for days (or years) for your crimes, Chinese women tend to let you off as soon as you've appropriately groveled (this must take place in your home, which is actually her domain, not yours) for an hour or two, and you've told her your sorry, and lastly, you've bought her a gift (do not forget about the ever important relationship saving gift). But if you want to get off without dismemberment, do not act as if you don't understand what you did wrong (even though you inevitably do not understand). Suck it up, admit your guilt, and promise never to do it again, even if you have no idea of what exactly it is that you will not do again, and life will be back to normal in short order.

And the really good news is that this "steel rod swathed in flowers", when you haven't just caused her to lose face, is like your own private bodyguard. Your little Chinese woman will be the greatest ally you could ever hope for. She will kill for you at the slightest provocation to your face - unless her Mother is the source of the threat to your dignity, in which case you probably just committed unfathomable another "face" crime yourself.

There, have you got it all figured out? No? Don't worry, Chinese women can be as frustrating as trying to figure the stock market, but it's their very unpredictability that is one of their greatest charms. I wouldn't spend the rest of my life with anybody else.

Another quality post Paul.
I love the description - "steel rods swathed in flowers" , that is a Chinese lady described to a T, I think that why they are so different to most western women and i must admit this inner steel is something I find hugely attractive.

Well back again, it's been a few days and I have done a lot of thinking about my relationship with God, you see the last two days I have been visiting my Lao Po at the hospital, it seems that her body does not think the Baby belongs there and was starting to treat it like an infection, she is now on meds for this, this is the first time I think I have ever prayed for something this strongly, I've also realized that I am also a very lucky man, I had met and married my Lao Po and she is here with me, I feel a little sorry for you guys that are just starting out, the ones that have met your ladies and you guys that have met and married your ladies but now have to be apart waiting for the Visa  to go through, so yes I am a very lucky man to have her here, and at the same time, I would give up being with her and have her back in China if it would make both of them healthy, I don't know what I would do if I lost them,
I'm sorry for bothering you all with this, I just needed some people that would understand to talk to, thank you my brothers and God bless.

Great news, it's time to have a party here, okay let me start with saying that my daughter Lili had to talk to the judge last Friday 06/12/09,at 7:45 am., he asked her a lot of questions about her life here and how she addressed me, she told me she told him every thing he wanted to know  and she told him  she called me Fu Qin and then had to tell him what it meant, he then asked her if I knew what it meant and she told him yes, he asked how she felt about me and what we talked about, she said she loved me and that I was the best and only father she has ever known, and we talked about what she wanted to do with her life and school and future schooling the judge and her talked for over 2 hours that day while her Mom and I and our son waited in the other room, anyway to the point, my lawyer called me this evening and told me that as of Monday morning 06/15/09, Lili will legally be my Daughter the papers will be signed no later then 10:00am.
Now can anyone tell me what forms I need to fill out for her  to become a U.S.C.?

I have a new Daughter!!! :icon_cheesygrin: YEA!!!

Arnold, My wife will have to do this at a later date but My new daughter is now adopted and automaticly becomes a citizen but has to have USCIS approveal hence the forms, it's a formality ( I have a new lawyer), as I understand it, Lili will not even need to take the oath, she is under 16 years old ( Lili is 12 ).
I went and talked with this new lawyer Monday afternoon around 1 pm, and by 3 pm, the forms were filled out and filed, this woman ( lawyer ) is worth the money I have spent and I would do it all again with out even thinking about it, and by the way, Lili just received her report card, I am a proud parent of a straight "A" student in the 7th grade ( now 8th ) and a straight "A" student in the 8th grade ( now 9th ) in my son Kevin, the kids have been helping each other with thier home work and it shows.
Sorry got side tracked  , now where was I ?, okay, so we should know or have the papers of Citizenship within the next month or at the worst by the end of summer.

hello all, it's around 9am here and have been up at 5am, couldn't sleep, not enough padding on my rock bed LOL, Mike and Rob, yeah it's always the way, I always forget something, Vince, I'll try to get photos for you guys, I'm not making promises,  Okay, Baba spent all day with my son Kevin, they went fishing and walking around the block talking ( Kevin speaks Mandarin well ) so today we are to have our little talk, I'll let you all know what it was about.
Now breakfast was a bowl of Congee with those damned chicken feet, I just can't seem to be able to get away from them.
Yesterday Zhou, Ping ( sister in law ) and myself went shopping for dinner for today we picked up a duck ( alive ) some veggies and sweet potatos, this was all we were to get, just food Ha!, we also brought home new slippers for the whole family, a new baby outfit ( traditional ) for a girl, a new hair brush for sister in law, and hair dodads for my niece ( smart child ), flowers for Zhou and Lili, just because I wanted to, a carton of smokes for brother in law and finally a bottle of wine for Baba, now can you guess who paid?, yeah Me, again as is normal.
Gotta go Baba wants brother in law, Kevin, his self and I to go fishing so talk to ya later.

I think that this was a very big issue that had to be settled for Baba. To know that your family name will live on after you are gone was surly a very big step for him. Just think of how worried this must have made him during all those years. Since I only have a daughter I sometimes can feel th same thing. I only have sisters so the man who should keep the family name running is my sisters son...

Hello, and WOW, I can't get on for a few days and all heck breaks lose here, first Peter is going to be married and as I've said, good luck Peter, David5o is banned and a bunch of other stuff I will have to read up on, oh and Chong turns out to be a Jedi Knight ( cool ).
We haven't been doing much here just trying ( I am ) to recuperate from the party/get together so Baba could tell the whole family about Kevin, man I felt like I was being over whelmed with estrogen, this family is over run with females and in a few years some of them will be looking for husbands so if some of you guys have younger brothers.......
Baba was also very pleased with himself that his daughter was having a baby and it is showing a little, its the cuttiest thing, her little buldge ( don't tell her I said buldge ), all the older women are fussing over her and I think she is eating up all the extra attention, it sure is going to make it hard for me to compete after she and the kids get home 6 weeks after I do.
CS Mike, Zhou said to tell you that if her niece was 4 years older she would introduce the two of you,
apparently she seems to think you are a good man, she is very protective of her favorite niece, so I think she is right.
Tomorrow we will be going to Quanzhou to visit relatives for a day or two and do some walking around the town to have a look.
well I guess I'll start reading all the new posts, this may take some time Haha.

Rob if that were true then there would be peace here, but there is not I'm sorry to say.
We returned to Babas house today after visiting with relatives, I didn't know Zhou had so many Auntys and Uncles but I guess that if a country has 1.8 billion people in it then some of them are bound to be related huh.
Peter maybe your new wife will give you a son, things happen :icon_cheesygrin:
Zhou likes to sit with me and she sits with her back against my chest and has me rub her tummy, she has started talking to the baby all the time, she tells her what she or I are doing and explains every thing to her, I wonder what she will do after the baby is born if she is doing all this now?, oh well, sister in law is always bringing Zhou fruits or something to drink, I have to get off my lazy butt and get my own :icon_biggrin:, sisterin law is always yelling at me and her husband to go do something and leave the women alone to talk  I was in the other room playing Mah zhong ( I think thats how to spell it ) I don't play it very well eather.
I tired, I'm going to take a nap with Zhou :sleepy:, oh, sorry guys I don't mean to make you  :icon_mrgreen:.
have a good day there to all of you.
Sly, how are things going for you brother?, better then last week I hope, God will give you what you need so don't give up the search, IMHO, I think maybe you should give up on Ting find some one else my friend, but you do what you feel is right.
Gotta go Zhou is calling me, bye.

Do you speak Mandarin well enough to converse with your extended family over there?, if so how long did it take you to get to a level where you could hold a decent conversation with them ?
Title: RE: Happy now!!!
Post by: MLM on July 14, 2009, 10:49:33 pm
Hay Irish, yeah I can make myself understood to some degree, I still get a lot of laughs thoughbut, I do okay I still have trouble with tones, lets see it took me about 5 weeks with " Pimsleur " and a few months with Zhou and Lili, but now like I said I can get by, this is a hard language to learn although it does seem to be getting easier to learn more as I go, I guess the best way to learn is when I am here, submerssion ( spelling ?), writing and reading the simbles is out of the question for me but I am learning to read and write pinyin, guys, I think it is easier to learn to speak first then write, doing both at the same time is to hard.
All in all Irish I would say it took me a total of4 months of hearing nothing but in my home so I had to learn, and yes both my ladies speak English very well they did this to teach me Mandarin, Kevin sounds like a native speaker and is starting to learn Cantoness, the little sh*t head show off:icon_biggrin: .
All I can say is you have to practice every day and try to talk to some one that can understand you in both Mandarin and English until you learn enough to hold a basic conversation, good luck guys, it's not easy at first but it does get easier the more you use it, I promise.
Gotta go shopping for lunch and dinner, have a good one . :icon_cheesygrin:

See , I look at it this way . Learn all the Character's , then you can put it on paper what you want to say and no need to worry about Tones . Added benefit , everybody understands you , no dialect's to worry about either .
Title: RE: Happy now!!!
Post by: MLM on July 15, 2009, 06:57:22 pm
Arnold thats not a bad way to look at it, but I just seem to be wired wrong to learn the characters.
I had a bad night, I kept dreaming that something would go wrong with the baby on the trip here, now we now that all is okay because we are here and nothing went wrong but I still have this feeling deep inside and it kept giving me bad dreams all night.
When I gave up and got up about 4 this morning I almost stepped on Lili laying on the floor by my side of the bed and then at the bottom of the bed on the floor was Kevin, I opened the door to find my way to the bathroom and triped over the dog and the bum nipped me on the shin, didn't break the skin put I almost broke my neck and also ALMOST wet myself.
My time here is almost gone and I will be coming back to the States in two more days, Zhou and the kids will be staying for another 6 weeks, I really don't want to leave home to return to the States but, I need to get back to work, I think I will know how some of you feel when you say you wish you could comfort and hold your ladies, God, 6 weeks with out my kids ( could be fun ) and with out my Zhou, this is going to be hard to do, I don't know how you guys do it.
Going to try laying down for a little while, later guys.

Thanks Arnold, I know that I will survive, Hehe, now maybe Mike MPO could help me out here, who in the spiritual world did I happen to piss off, My flight from China to Japan was 5 minutes late, no problem I thought my flight from Japan to Detroit was in 1.5 hours, by the time I got through costums I still had an hour, yeah right :dodgy:, I went to a shop in the airport and bought a salt and pepper set for my Mom and placed them in the suitcase,( here it comes ), I then went to check my bags and was informed that my flight had left a 1/2 hour early , so I asked what can we do about this and the young lady helped me a lot she got me booked on the next flight going to Detriot, problem, 4 hours from now, I will now also miss my flight to Philadelphia, I think its going to be a loooong day not counting the flight from Japan, so I must have pissed some one off really good:fi_lone_ranger:
Already wish I was back home in China.
I guess I'll go sit in the Bar :icon_cheesygrin:, no not for 4 hours, I'll miss that one too if I did that, I see some other guys from the Sataes, or some place that speaks English, I think??
Later brothers will write after I get back in Philly and have some sleep.

I just seem to be wired wrong to learn the characters.

Michael

You just need to think about them differently.

There's no way of remembering them as a combination of lines and dots and dashes and squiggles. You'll never do it that way.

You have to change the way you think about them.

Stop thinking about them as "letters". Each character is a picture and tells a story.

Make a little story about each one. In that way you never forget them.

It is like the character for good is composed of the character for a woman and child. For a man like me, it does not get any better than to have your wife and child with you. And so I could never ever forget how to write that character. Or the character for stream, is composed of three little streams of water. It doesn't matter how dumb they are. So long as they are meaningful to you, that's good enough.

Just learn one every day. That's enough. If you try to learn a lot, you just end up confusing yourself.

Also you need to have a book or friend that teaches you how to write the characters. You need to do it each time the same way, so after a while your hand remembers them as much as your head.

Danny

I started out with the number's , which I think are easy , ones you have writen them a few dozen times . Than I went on to North , south , east and west . Left and right . Exit and Entrance . Then I added City's I have been to . on and on . Wo ai ni and started to lengthen the sentence's by adding more character's . Added names and so forth . I can write the ones I do know , as fast as Qing can , which we had a lot of fun over . It has to be Fun not Work and it will come sooner or later to the point where you know hundreds and maybe even more . I never set my Mind to know them all . If I could just get a couple thousand in my Head to read a Newspaper somewhat , that is a big accomplishment for me and one my Wife will be proud of .
The language will come talking and using it with your Wife , the character's is something that has to come from you , to be willing to do it .
Oh , and what also help's with the character's , is knowing how many strokes on has . example : MiFeng has 27 strokes , so as I do the character's .. I count my strokes as I write them . If I come out at 27 , I know I've done it right .

Hi all, Iiii'mmmmm Bbbaaaacccckkkkk!!!!! :icon_cheesygrin:
Wow talk about jet lag, I feel like I was road hard and put up wet, if I sit to long in one place I fall asleep, was talking with my sister and while I was listening to her tell her son what I had said I fell asleep, and for some reason I can't get enough water to drink.
I think I'll just wait until Zhou is home to teach me to write Chinese, more fun that way, hehe.
Mike, you are prolly right, all things happen for a reason and not just to screw with me personally.
I hear tell that a person on the flight I missed had a case of swine flu sooooo, I'm happy I missed that plane.
Peter is now married, so is Scott, looks like we can add two more brothers to the married mens part of the brotherhood, hey Mods this married section will need a bigger room soon, we will prolly have Vince, MikeMPO, Danny, Jo-Mo, and a few others in here soon also.
Arnold, I remember when it was just you, Maxx and myself and maybe 1 or 2 others that were married, now look at us all, feels good to know that some of the other brothers are joining us and that others are looking, finding and going to meet with thier ladies soon.

Some of you may know about Melatonin.  It is an over the counter supplement.  When I Googled it, I got 5.5 Million hits.

It is supposed to be excellent for jet lag.  In other words, when you travel to China and days are nights, you can take it at your new  bedtime to reset your body's clock.  The same would be true for your return.   When you return to local time, take it at your normal bedtime.

I'm sure the degree of success will vary from person to person.  I take it for a sleep aid nightly.  It also aids in really revving up your immune system.  There is plenty of research, so skeptics can read about it into perpetuity.

Rob, I know how you are feeling, even though I met Zhou here in the States, the first time I went to see her I was a nervious boundle that couldn't have told you my name if you asked me, the whole time I was on the plane, I thought I was going to be sick, I didn't know what I would have done if she, as you say like Ting or some of the others, but the minute I got off the plane and our eyes meet we knew, we haven't stopped touching each other since then.
by the way she has been here now for a little over 5 years and her things have just arrived from China in a container, it took 3 weeks to get to Cali. from China, was inspected then we were notified, I hired a truck and it arrived here in my drive way after 2 weeks on a truck, now when she gets back from China I know what I will be doing for the next 5 to 10 days, unpacking the damned thing, hhmmmmm..., maybe I will try to unpack it before she gets here as a surprise, what do you think???
sorry got side tracked, I think the two of you will be fine, it natural to have those thoughts Rob, don't danxin I feel good about the two of you.
Zhou called this morning all she said was " Wo xiang he ni zai yi qi, wo ai ni " and then she started crying, so did I, then she said, " Ni shi wo hen gao xing ".

sorry got side tracked, I think the two of you will be fine, it natural to have those thoughts Rob, don't danxin I feel good about the two of you.
Zhou called this morning all she said was " Wo xiang he ni zai yi qi, wo ai ni " and then she started crying, so did I, then she said, " Ni shi wo hen gao xing ".

So, Michael, for those of us who don't understand and can't get Google Translator to work, would you share what that means in English please.

Hi Skip, sure I can do that, Arnold is right for the first part and the rest is " Ni shi wo hen gao xing " = " You make me very happy ", and danxin = worry.

Arnold if I get a sale sign it will have to be for all of my furniture not hers, hers is a very dark wood with rose wood inlays and hand carved on the legs of the table and chairs and cabinets, the sofa, love seat and chair have wood on the arms and they match the dinning room things, water paintings, bedroom furniture for her and I and for Lili, Woks of all sizes, from one that is 6" across to one that is almost 2' across, a steamer set (bambo), kitchen knives and a cleaver the size I have never seen, this thing is hugh for a cleaver I think.
I even found way in the back a dead palm tree, so I'm think WTF???, when this small lizard comes running out of the darn tree, scared the hell out of me, there is so much stuff in this container, I might have it all unpacked and put where I think it should go in about 4 weeks, of course when she gets home I WILL be spending the next week after moving it all to where she knows it should be, Hahaha.

Hi guys, I guess you all know about the woman I am helping here, lets just call her Mary okay, first Zhou knows her and they are good friends and Zhou knows what is going on, I called her, Zhou told me that I am doing the right thing for our friend, now that being said both girls are saying the same thing, and I agree, that it would look wrong for Mary to move in here with out Zhou being here, but Zhou says I am to pay for her ( Mary ) hotel room and food until Zhou and the kids get back, then Mary is to move in with us until she can get on her feet, this part I am not to sure about, I think it will strain our relationship, don't get me wrong, I want to help, I would never cheat on Zhou, but it just doesn't feel right to me and have said this to Zhou, she says we must do this for our friend or lose face, so for now I guess I am going to do as my Lao Po says I should do.
Marys husband beat her up pretty bad, it was some where between a beating and torture, he beat her until he broke her jaw, her left hand, blacked both eyes bruised her ribs and legs and then dislocated two fingers on her right hand, guys, do I need to say I am fairly pissed off with this guy, but as I stated in the shout line he has been placed in jail for the night or until he can get bailed out.
I am staying at the hospital tonight and all day tomorrow just incase he cames by to " Talk " to her, she now has a restraining order against him but, like the POPO said, they can not watch over her all the time, so I'm it, and I will use my employees to help cover the time of watching over her at the hospital and the hotel.
Again thanks to you all and especially you MIke MPO that was right on time, I knew there was a reason I belonged to this group other then the friendship, the brotherhood just might have saved her life, a heart felt thank you from Zhou and myself for our friend, bless you all.

Mike I have a business and it is for working for bailbandsman and the local law, also for the US Marchalls office, so I have 3 teams of 5 men amd women working for me, they will do some of the watching at the hotel also, I write the pay checks, LOL, I took photos and the police did also along with the hospital x-rays we are asking for from them as proof for USCIS, and I have kept a jurnal the moment she called me and am still writing every little thing in it, for police, USCIS and to cover my butt with Zhou also :icon_cheesygrin:, My Daddy didn't raise no fool.
I told Mary where I got the phone # from and she has asked me to tell the brotherhood and especialy you Mike, Xie xie ni , and she also says to tell you, you are a hero in her mind, and I am to respectfully bow to you for her so heres to you Mike. ( as he bows deeply )

Sorry Arnold for spoiling your dinner but I needed info and Mike was fast to give it, it was "only" a phone number to USCIS but with it and the information she received from them she decided to leave him for good, and to me, his help with this might have just saved her life.
I really belive that the next "beating " would have killed her.
I had the phone # but at the time I couldn't find it, but Mike and the brotherhood have come through when needed most.
I didn't know where else to post this so I put it where I knew it would be read, Mary's story should be told and read, so others will see what these women have to deal with, sometimes when they come to our countries and what must run through thier minds when they first think about leaving China to be with thier husband.
Some times thier fears become reality, then what, they don't know what to do, especially if they are in there late 30's or older, some of them belive that this is the way it is to be.
I also gave her this Phone number, 1-800-799-7233, it's for Chinese speaking women that have been through domestic abuse, it's open 24/7/365, of course that was before Zhou told me she ( Mary ) would be living with us as soon as she gets back from China.
So I have been camped out here at the hospital all night, my back hurts from trying to sleep in those chairs, my head hurts from lack of sleep, but I know I don't hurt as much as Mary does.
Well my worker is here and Mary knows I am going but that Ms. mei is here with her, guys you think its hard to speak with your jaw wired shut, try clenching your teeth and say something in Chinese, it hurt my jaw just listening to them talking, okay I'm going home for some real coffee, a shower and some sleep.

Geeze, what a story, hard to imagine any man capable of such violence to a women, it totally sickens me.
Sorry I wasn't able to help, had no idea what USCIS was (do now since Mike posted the link).

I hope Mary makes a full recovery, sounds like she's in good hands with you looking out for her, I hope the guy that did that to her gets put away for a long time.

Michael... Thanks for sharing this terrible sad story. The same feeling as Arnold hier. Most certainly it wasnt the first time. I cannt understand why these women do put up with everything but i would now realize at first hand why every 4 minutes a woman in China commits suicide. It is by far the highest rate worldwide. This beautiful chinese culture press on their shoulders and could never exist without their pains.

I tip my hat to you and am proud of having you in our brotherhood.
.....The same to you mike.

Hello, I'm back at the hospital and all is well, okay as well as can be expected, Mary is resting , she should be they gave her enough Demmeral to drop a horse.
I thank you all for your kind words for me and Zhou but the truth be known, I would do the same for anyone who is a friend and now I extend this to the brotherhood also.

Arnold, your right, I was home to take the phone call when I am usually at work, and then Mike "Happened " to just look at the shout page...hhhmmmm.

Darius, your so right, and this is a shameful thing this world has come to, someday it might change but not in the forseeable future.

Vince, I offered her this service and went as far as to contact the shelter but after they spoke with her they agreed to sent some one to the hotel to speak with her and also said they would make sure it was going to be a councelor and two other women that have been and are going through what she is now, all of whom are Chinese, when I mentioned a shelter Mary started to panic but, talked to them anyway.

Now, I have heard that her ( Mary ) husband has been bonded out as of 8:30 am this morning and he is highly pissed off, Hehehe.
There is still the restraining order on him and he has been informed of this, so if he comes around he goes back to jail, yes !!, I have never wished this on anyone but for him, I hope he becomes Bubba's bit*h.
Sorry I had to Edit this a little, oh and Arnold I also find this beyond belief, it turns my insides to a knot, there is no reason for someone to do this to any one, this was more then a beating, when you hit sokeone that is a beating but, when you take the time to dislocate finger joints one at a time this then becomes torture and this should never happen.
sorry guys this just makes mevery mad

I thank you all my brothers, I have PMed Arnold about what he wanted to do and I would rather you all did as i have asked of him.

Marys husband tryed to get into the hospital today around 2 pm he made it to the floor that mary is on but was stopped by a policeman that was there and the cop was one of the ones that arrested him, he was told he had to leave and when he didn't the police arrested him again and Mary never knew he was there.
All in all it has been an interesting day, I think I'll read some more of the boards now and if anything happens I'll update you all.
Again thank you all.

GOOD MORNING all ( sorry cap lock ), well Mary will be leaving the hospital some time today, having the female employee stay with Mary at the hotel was the about the smartest thing I could have done, remember Mary has a broken left hand and dislocated fingers on her right hand, well how would she take care of buisness in the bathroom....... yeah thats what I thought also, So Ms Mie has been spending time here with Mary at the hospital and guess what, they have become good friends, Mie says its easy to be friends with Mary, so if nothing else a new friendship is born here.
Yesterday when I found out that Mary would be discharged today I had the people at the office call the hotel and reserve a suite for her, so now she can check in anytime today, she also has an appointment with my lawyer tomorrow ( her idea ), he is coming to the hotel to meet her, she wants me there with her at the first meeting so guess where I'm going to be tomorrow LOL.
I've used this divorce lawyer twice now so he is good, he is also going to do this for free,.... yeah, free, I almost fell off my chair when he said this, we had talked for an hour as I explained what was going on and all the x-rays and photos and the police report we had and then I asked him how much was this going to cost me and thats when he said he would do this one for free, I still can't belive it, when I asked why he said these 5 words and that was all he would say about it, " What goes around, comes around ", ya know for a lawyer, not a bad fellow.
gotta go breakfast has just arrived ( Mie has arrived with something she cooked for us, God I hope it isn't chicken feet again ).

That is real nice of the lawyer, like Arnold I tip my hat to him, definitely one of the good guys. I hope he tears this a-hole a new one in court.
You're a good guy too Michael taking care of Mary like you are, a hat tip to you too sir haha!
I hope Mary makes a full recovery and next time finds a man that will treat her right, she certainly deserves a good man after whats been done to her.

Hi guys, thought I'd let you all know what has been going on, well Mary is settled in at the hotel and all is good there and I was told that because this is our ( the companies ) 10th rental in as many months this on is 1/2 price, its amazing that this is happening now and right after Mary walked through the lobby, LOL.

Now as far as the Lawyer goes, yeah he is good, he got my first divorce so I didn't have to pay her anything, and we had nothing so, the second wife got nothing, I got full costody of our two kids and she is paying child support to me ( Haha) and I got the house, yeah I think he will rip this guy a new butt hole for Bubba to play with.
Guys, believe it or not I would not have guessed this of him, when he did these two divorces for me it cost me plenty but well worth it, he is a better then I would have thought.

Marys husband is and will be in jail/ county, for at least 3 more months and then he will apear in court and Mary will not even need a lawyer for this, the state has picked up from here and has filed criminal charges against him, among the other charges there is this one " Inhuman treatment, kid napping and false imprisonment " these are all federal felony charges", guys if convicted this means he gets big time.

I told Mary of the job waiting for her when Zhou gets back and I don't know if I like giving good news anymore, I hate,... hate to see a Chinese woman cry, they can really ball up thyat face.
I think I will have a really loyal employee in Mary, I also feel left out of a private joke or something, I asked Mary and Mie how things were going and they both looked at each other and started laughing , I didn't and still don't get it, did I miss something?   Oh well.

Thank you guys for all the kind words, but I am just doing and acting the way I was I was raised to do, I don't think I could do any thing less.
I'll tell you a very short story here about the first time Zhou and I went to China for a Visit, we were walking down the street and I heard this woman yelling, I turned around and before Zhou could stop me I knocked this guy flat on his a$$, you see he hit this woman that had  yelled, I almost got arrested that day if it were not for Zhou telling the guy and the cops I didn't understand the customs and culture of China, I did have to pay a fine to the guy and the cops about 3,000 RMB, so you see I could do nothing less here for Mary, and if I did My Father would rise from his grave and kick my A$$.
So thank you but as I said I could do no less then I am doing.

Hello all, it seems that every thing is going well, Mary still wants a divorice and has even signed the papers on Frtday morning and they were delivered to the court house by Friday afternoon, and guess who the lawyer hired to serve the papers to her husband?, ( yeah, ME, Hehehe ), so I will be doing this as soon as the are servable, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, can't wait to see the look on his face.
Mary doesn't need the pain killers any more so sometimes Mie says she is very grumpy and I can understand this and allow for this, anyway, she seems to have a fan club here, as in Mie says that she had brought her son weth her one day and he feel in love with Mary and now brings some of his friends around to " Help " her with getting drinks or something to eat, oh they are all about 9 to 11 years old, Mary thinks its cute so do I and it gives Mie some extra help around the hotel but most of the time Mie stays with Mary 24/7.
Mary asked when Zhou will be home and I told her 1 week after her casts come off, she wanted to know because she wants to start working.
Mary is at the point where she wants to say bad things about her Husband but says ity is not the way she was raised, so in her words this is what she said, " I am not raised to say bad things about people so I will say nothing about that Bastard ".
I thought for some reason that this was very funny and started laughing and the next thing I know we are all laughing and Mary had this shy smile on her face along with a red face.
Okay thats all I can remember for now so bye for now or until Arnold says I can post an other update.

Arnold, I have come to realize that the word civilized means that our weapons can cause more damage, that we are supposed to act better then a cave man and that some of the people in the world cannot seem to pull themselves out of the iron age, but yeah your right, children do and say the damnest things, and some times many of the adults could learn from them.
Mary has a bunch of little guys that would do anything for her, and she to this day confusses me and some of my friends, male and female about her age, she was born on Dec. 27, and when we celabrate it she is 40 this year, in Jan. she will say she is 41 years old (????), but her passport says she is 39 years old, Hahaha, so we tell her she is somewhere between 39 and 41, sometimes its just easier to wait until January, thank god Zhous is easy and she understands our way of counting our ageSay Arnold tell Martin for me that I said, " Plaaattzzzsssss " I think thats how you spell that rasberry sound. :icon_cheesygrin:

Michael,

Is Mary married to an American, or a Chinese guy?? I've tried going back over the thread and if it's mentioned, i haven't seen it  haha!!..

In Asia, it's common to say at birth, there 1 yr old. That's very common in Korea, and parts of China too But on all official documents they count from birth as we do. So officially on her birthday she will be 40, but she has grown up adding that extra year, so she will say she is 41 ...haha!!  Bloody confussing I know!!

Michael,

I think you'll find i'm right about the age thing, It is this birth thing, saying that there one year old at birth.
Can't tell you how many times that's cropped up when i've been conducting interviews, hiring local Engineers in and around Asia. It's really very common, especially so in Korea.

There's one or two other age abnommilies in China too, but that's another story ....haha!!

Yes, I have gotten in trouble a couple of times over the age thing.  I look at the birthday and figure the age, but no.  This is common, I understand, for teenagers.  Qingqing told me she was 17 but when I saw her birthday it showed 16 so I was teasing her about it. Wrong thing to do.  But when I was telling her mother about the lawyer and she had to be under 18 when she got her visa. In order to be part of our filing. She was all of a sudden 16, so it depends on who and what they are talking about.
When I first met Angel she said she was only 16 years younger than me because i had a little trouble about the age difference.   But as soon as we were engaged, she was 17 years younger. lol. So I told her by that logic she was 18 years younger than i am.  She thought that was fine. lol.  Some things about women are the same the world over.

Hello all, well I thought I'd let you all know what has been happening, the cast has come off of Marys right hand, you know the one with the dislocated fingers, well now they have her squeezing a foam rubber ball with it, the black eyes have gone away, the stitches have come out ( very tiny scars ), Mary and my best friend have been spending a lot of time talking together, she says he treats her as a woman should be treated, all he has done is make her tea, read to her and sat with her in the same room and watched TV with her and talked.
Marys husband has been served with a suit for divorce, and that should just put the iceing on his cake :icon_cheesygrin:, I have also been told that he has been in a fight with someone at the county jail, no details as yet, Hahaha, I bet Bubba wanted to  show him his drawings, Hahaha.
Mei and some of the rest of the other team members have gone back to work on the streets so now its my best friend of many years and Mary spending time at the hotel and keep your minds out of the gutter, Mary says that when she tells him that she is tired he goes and sits in the hall.
Zhou calls me every day and she says she can not wait to come home, and I now know how you guys feel when she crys over the phone, I miss them very much.
Zhou has finished all the family buisness that needed to be done early and says that now she can concentrate on visiting with her friends there, but says they have changed, I think it is her that has changed and I am wise enough to not say this :icon_biggrin:, I've talked to my son and daughter on the computer and webcam and my son sure looks like he is getting a darker tan then what he had before he left, my daughter looks more uhmm... mature? then the last time I'd seen her, she looks the same but acts more like a young woman rather then a young girl, hhhmmmmm, my children are growing up on me, well just another 4 weeks and they will be home, I can't wait :icon_cheesygrin:.

Its time for an update, Mary is doing much better now, she has actually been out on a few dates, my best friend has been spending a lot of time with her and she seems to like him a lot, they have been out to dinner, movies, walks, and he has been at her hotel for hours on end talking together, I think this is good, for both of them.
Mary has also been complaining about the cast iching, every thing from pens to wire hangers have found thier way into that cast to scratch :icon_cheesygrin:, and when you ask her what she's doing she says " Nothing "
Zhou and Mary have been talking on the phone twice a week and Zhou and I have been on the phone everyday for at least two hours a day, 3 more weeks and my family will be home :icon_cheesygrin:, aaahhhhh, I think I better think about cleaning the house  .
My darling Lao Po has told me that Baba is sending to me , with her a gift but, wont tell me what it is ( the Biatch) she knows I hate surprises and no matter how much I plead, she wont tell me, she just giggles and says You will like it and giggles some more :@.

The courts have sent her a letter stating that she may be eligible for a new program as far as divorces go, her and her soon to be ex have both signed the divorce papers so they are saying that because of the physical abuse it may be final with in the month:icon_biggrin:, finally good news, anyway Mary started crying and my friend was very upset because he  couldn't understand why, I tried to explain but got nowhere, then Mary told him not to worry, she will tell him later Hehe :icon_cheesygrin:.
Zhou and I were talking on the phone this morning and I asked her how the yiong er was, I got, she is good why?, I told her I wanted to know, I then asked her how is wo de wei xiao mu? she said good and that I worry too much then she starts asking me if I am cooking or going to China buffet to eat, I told her she didn't have to worry, I have taken care of myself before and she said maybe, but not very good, then I said, yes, you are right, I need my Lao Po, she laughed and said yes you do.
I have found out what the surprise is from Baba, he bought Lili and Kevin some musical instruments and had them tought to play them for me, Lili got a Erhu, Kevin got a Dizi and Zhou has a Gu Zheng here that she can play very well, Kevin can also play the Native American flute and Lili can also plat the Dizi and the Pipa, so it looks like I will have some beautiful Chinese music coming from my home.
Gotta go to work soon, later

Arnold, Zhou and Lili have beautiful singing voices so I am sure ther will be some good sounds coming from my house now, the girls already sing when they are doing something inside or outside of the house, sometimes its fun to listen to them when they are in two different roomss and singing the same song and they start trying to sing over the other, but it can get loud around here, or when one of them are outside working on the flower garden and singing the people next door will come out and sit on thier patio to listen to the songs.
you may be right about being 1/2 Chinese by now and I would take it as a compliment. :icon_biggrin:

Hi all, hope you are all doing well with your ladies.
well Mary now has a new friend, a friend of mine from a couple years ago, she married a man from Ghanna who became a citizen here, he married her and she is from Mauritius, anyway lately he has become an a$$ hole and has been messin with her mind, so she left when he threated to beat her so now she is with Mary at the hotel, ( Maybe I should open a womans shelter ), Mary had her cast removed yesterday and her arm looks good so today she came to work at the office to have a look and see what it is we do and see if she would like to work there, well after one day of watching and listening she said to me tonight that she will like to work for Zhou here, I said okay and at the same time I'm thinking, wait a minute, this is my buisness not Zhou's but then thought, why fight it.
Anyway, Mary and my friend have become an item, he and she have been spending nights together for a couple of days now, I found out because I stoped by one morning to see if Mary needed anything and he was just coming out of her bedroom, the look on her face was worth a million bucks and boy you talk about red faced , and hers was a little red too.
Oh, the womans name is Annejela ( thats the way she spells it )and she has a lot to do tomorrow morning starting with applying for a PDF with the police on her husband and she called her job and has asked for a few days off and they are giving her 3 days vacation so she can get all she needs to do done.
In 9 more days my family will be home, Man I can't wait, this house is starting to get a little big and a lot empty, I keep walking from room to room looking for something, I just don't know what I'm looking for :s .
Time to go again, have a good one.
Mike

Hi guys, thought I'd let everyone know that things are going well here, Annejela's lawyer told her she would not have any problems filing for her green card on her own and that she should get it.
Mary starts working for Zhou and I on Monday morning, she can't wait to start and according to Zhous orders she will be put in charge of offices finances, second only to Zhou.
Zhou and the kids will be home on Sunday morning and I'm so excited I feel like vomiting and I can't sleep.
This morning as I was talking with my Lao Po on the phone she told me Lili was on the phone to her friends, I could hear her talking and of course I couldn't her the other side of that conversation but I did hear Lili say" My Dad" as she was talking about me, after Zhou and I hung up my chest swelled with pride so much I wanted to cry, I have waited a long time to hear Lili call me this, and even if she didn't know that I heard, this is the greatest gift she could have given me.
Thats it for a day or two.

Hello all, I feel more tired now then before we left, she wore me out ( no not like that ), with shopping, going sight seeing, and, okay at the hotel also, haha, got you, there were a couple little shops inside the hotel ( get your minds out of the gutter ).
Went to work this morning to see what has happened while we were gone and all was well, Mary has been doing her job as well as can be expected if not better, for someone in a new position, it seems that we had a busy week and did a lot of buiness so I'm happy, see :icon_cheesygrin:
Lat night after Annejela got home from work the girls sat and talked for an hour or four, it sounded like there were like, 20 women in the house but it was only 3 women and 1 young woman, and you know what it sounded like they were having the time of thier lives in the kitchen, Kevin and I just went to the Garage to tinker with our project car for awhile and at the rate we are going in three years when he is sixteen it might be ready.
I think I'm going back to bed for a little cuddle time, later.

Wow, Zhou just sent me down memory lane today and I find it hard to leave them, she went up to the attic today and found my old footlocker and somehow got it open  ( I know I locked it ), she found my old dress uniform, sword, some odds and ends, ribbons and such and an old photo album from 35 years ago, she called to me to come up and please tell her what all this was, she was looking to make room and throw out some things in the process, anyway, I went up and seen my dress blues hanging on a hanger and hanging from an old coat rack, the memeries came flooding back as if it was yesterday, she just kept watching me for a few moments then asked me with a worried soud in her voice what these were, I told her that box held my things from when I was in the Marine corps, she started going through it and asking me what this or that was and what it meant and meant to me, i told her what each ribbon and medal was for and what some of the odds and ends were and then we found the photo album, we were looking through it and I was answering a lot of questions like what does these letters on the buildings mean and why didn't they just write that, Haha, and then she seen a photo of me when I was 18 in my dress blues, she said I looked very handsome and would it still fit, Hahaha, yeah right, I received memories that were good, bad, happy and some sad but, all mine.
Oh and by the way she said I could keep them, so back they all went into the footlocker and placed in to the back of the attic for a little while longer.
Zhou has every one of the girls here acting like they are angry with me, they're just kidding around but she and they say it's because its my fault that Zhou is having a problems seeing her feet, hehehe, her belly is so cute sticking out there, 4 more months and we'll have our new daughter here, keeping me awake, running for bottles, diapers, taking out the old diapers, cleaning up messes and generally just having a grand ol' time, guys I don't mind telling you that I am in love with my wife and am falling hopelessly farther in love with her every day.
I hope you all find some day what I have today and those that are married, I hope you already have this.
Good night all.

MM,

Yes Mike, i do recognise so many things that you write about, between you and your wife. I sometimes think were like two peas in a pod, ...haha!!  But thankfully i don't have ten thousand women running round the house, cackling away!!!!  haha!!

But the interactions that you tell us about, good and bad (if you can actually call them bad) are almost identical. Like Zhou, Lucy has no trouble showing her love for me, and is always there to pick me up if i'm feeling on a bit of a downer. I know that i can do exactly the same for her too. Is it all perfect, ...who knows what perfect is or means, for me it's as good as, and you'll not hear me complain too loudly!! ...If only she would let me know what she has planned/arranged in ample time for me to know what's going on too!! ...hahaha!!

Am i as happy as you, ...you better dammed well belive it, that i am. What makes it even better is that we are ''Best Friends'' we almost know what each other is thinking. ....And belive me that's not boring, because we both have strong and inquisitive minds, so nothing is habit or mundane between us. The more we know about each over, the more we want each other!!

I think we both know Mike, ...that our two partnerships are  ''Forever Bonds'', that only an act of God, ...will ever drag us apart!!

David.....

David, you are so right, these women ( our wives ) are so right for us, I couldn't think or want to think of life without her, she told me once that " if she has rain fall on her head first ( if she dies first ) she will stay with me until I am ready to join her and then we will continue our journey together again", she seems to have a thing about not saying that some one has or might die, its aleays, if rain falls on your head, I still don't know where she came up with this at but, now that I know what it means I  think its cute.
It started raining here about 5 minutes after midnight this morning and it's still raining at 4 PM.
This morning we, my family and the families of the people on flight #93, went to a field in western Pennsylvania to have  a service for those that died that fatefull day, I was doing okay through the services, the placing of the flowers and most of the speaches but, when the pipes started playing Amazing Grace I couldn't hold back the tears any longer, after i calmed down we visited with some of the other people we have grown to know over the last 8 years, after we got home about an hour ago, Zhou has gone and got my bottle of rum and handed it to me and told me to have some and pointed to a place almost half way down the bottle, kissed my forhead and left me here in the den to "Think " as she is calling it, its amazing to me how she always seems to know what and when I need something, even when I don't know I need it, not only rum, but every thing, she knows if I worked through lunch and will bring me something to eat, she knows when my tea cup is empty in my office and will come in and fill it, she is always bringing me sliced fruit to snack on, she will offer my " clients " Tea, my " clients " alwasy have handcuffs on by the way, but they alwasy seem to act more civilized after she does, and God help those that misbehave in the office, she'll blast them starting in English go to Chinglish and then in Chinese, after this is going on with her walking around our office doing thing like filling thier tea cup again she will stop yelling at them, smile, and then leave them alone, all I can do is hide the smile on my face from her and you should see the look of terror on the "Clients " faces, they usually stop giving me a hard time and give me the information i need for the paper work.
Hell one guy actually asked me that if he ever had to be hunted again could I please leave her at home, she scared the hell out of him, :icon_cheesygrin:, I told him I would think about it, :icon_twisted:.
I guess I just took the long way to tell you all that no matter what comes up, Zhou will be there to take care of me and I her.
I better stop now, I'm about half way to the point she pointed to and I am getting melancholy and I hope not to many misspelled words here.
I think I'll just read some of the posts for a little while until dinner is ready and the go tell my family I love them and go to bed.

You are both right, I will be working on a case now that I am doing for free and my guys have also givin up thier pay for this, a man living in NM., has just beatin his Chinese wife and when a PDF and a warrent was sworn out for him he ran to Texas, he is armed and is now in the bad lands hiding, the guys and I are doing this because the woman is a friend of Zhou's from China, so here we go again, she is in a safe house now in New Mexico and being taken care of, the husband is well connected with the police in his area so they are doing nothing or very little looking, so off we go to start on Monday, I don't think I will be going on this one at the start, maybe when the team gets closer.
Zhou wants me home for awhile and spend time with the family, she says I am working to hard, I tell her I am only at the office for an average of ten hours a day, and she says yes but you come home and work on computer for five more every day, so I guess I am going to take a few days and just hang out with the family, need to keep her happy right?.

Well the butt hole was caught and is now waiting in the county lock up for his trail date, the woman is doing fine now but she and her son are going back to China.

Zhou and the baby are doing good.:icon_cheesygrin:
Mary and Annejela are working  and Annejela is moving into her own place about a block away, real far huh?, its all good, mary and my friend are still going out together, the Judge has granted her request for a Divorce and as she says she will be free to love, I think my buddy is in for it now :icon_cheesygrin:

Lili has been doing so good in school and asked if she could go on the class trip in April so we said yes, the trip is to Washington, D.C. to see a play, ( I don't remember what one ).

Kevin is also doing well in school and has joined the football team and is a defensive linemen, he is 5'8" tall and 250 lbs. or 172.7 cm and 113.4 kg, big boy for 13 years old.

So I guess until something happens of importance this will be one of few post on this thread from me.

Kevin is a big lad for a 13 year old, ... not those bloody Dim Sum dumplings is it, that's making him grow?? lol!!
I can understand why he's been put in the ''defensive linemen'' position. His size and the rest of the body armour you lot use in your American football is gonna make him an awesome block to get through.....

Sounds like everything else in your garden is coming up Rosy mate, except when you get on the wrong side of Zhou that is, i bet right now, you haven't got a clue what's the good, and what's the bad side, ...Cause it changes from one minute to the next minute, ...Right?!! ..hahahaha!!

I know where your coming from, but don't have as much experience!
Last night after Ming zhi had finished playing on the site, she turns to me and said It's 1 in the morning no more Internet for you! Look, the laundry has not been done and the floors need cleaning! We are getting married in 6 days and if I don't get some proper rest I will not look my best! I did my best to point out that it was her doing the reading/posting and not me. My time is tight, there is a lot to do in 6 days do you not understand! At which point she starts doing the laundry. I  try to say leave it until the morning and get some rest. It's all you fault I'm doing the laundry at this time! Spending all the time on the Internet! I just hung my head in shame and admitted that I am a "bu hao lao gong" at which point she just cracked up laughing. Didn't stop her from mopping the floors after finishing the laundry though. So all day I've been going about calling myself Hao lao gong, and staying off the net, she just smiles that smile and all's right with the world. You know if it wasn't for the stuff I've learned on this site I would be completely lost!
And yes she did say I could use the computer, but only for an hour!!!!! hehe hehe:icon_cheesygrin:
