Title: QQ Question
Post by: Oiler1 on March 19, 2010, 07:26:15 pm
My freind installed the international QQ version. It starts up everytime and has a dialog box in Chinese. How do I prevent all QQ stuff from automatically starting up? I don't want it to run everytime I boot uo.

I tried to change the defauly settings to no avail.

open QQ, then look at the bottom of the QQ window for something that looks like a gear, click on that, unchecked start when I start my computer then make sure you click the apply button.

I have the QQ International.
I am unable to set- up my wife's QQ in Chinese.
Is her download different than what the English version has to offer? I have the language bar EN/ CH available.
What am I doing wrong? Or should I do to remedy my situation.

basically. I have the 'Internat'l", which means separate downloads.
I Googled "QQ web"..no luck, but the "Bing" option pulled it up.
so, I have a happy wife, but I need to download her version of QQ so
I can put an icon on the tool bar.
thanks much Scottish Robbie

the problem I had was getting QQ.com on Google Chrome. I do not know if I just had a clutzed effort or not.

on my netbook, I had both QQ Int'l & the QQ 'normal' China version. that was what I wanted to accomplish; anyway,
I utilized I.E. on the netbook, Googled again but this time "Bing" was collateralized with Google.
So, it brought to the correct website. I did the download.
Now, everything if fine.
So, I thank the few members for their help.
