This came as an Idea after seeing Rhonald's favorite Photo of his Lady . So why not have a section where we can share all our favorite Photo , as this Journey began .
This is one of my very favorite's , because .. Qing seems to be looking right out of this Photo onto me with her love for me . But it also show's her little Boy and her Parent's for the first time .

Alright fellas, Jessie gave me permission to use one of her pictures. I asked her to pick one of them but the one she picked is kind of off in colour. An orangy red tint to it. But that doesn't matter, this is my wife to be. She looks young but she's turning 24 this year. One week before I turn 30 :icon_eek: I think I also look young for my age so we're a perfect match haha. (Not to mention all the things we have in common) :icon_cheesygrin:

Here is my pride and joy. This was the first picture she ever sent me. I recieved it in my EMF's. That tongue thing she does all the time, it drives me wild hehe. I have many other photos ut this one has to be my favorite. Well till I have some with me in it. That makes any picture better. haha.

I been lucky right from the start , webcam right away no emf's , 2 hours or more , talking on webcam almost everyday, My future wife went away this weekend to Jiuzhaigou , which is supposed to be a world heritage site , i have just gotten some pictures from there and i will put them in the right place i think , but today these just became my favorite that i have ever gotten from her, This is Tibet clothing

Yes, she is a sweet looking girl, i still think i am about to wake up at any minute now,:) and yes she did used to be a model, but now works for a landscape design company in their office. I had thought about the thread on who's your mate, but i was not sure how to describe our relationship, definately not single but as i have already been to China to meet a girl from CL who i thought was the 'one' and having it not work out i think it is also too early for a pre-marriage relationship status. I hired immigration lawyers in November of 2008, after many months of paper work my application was sent to the Canadian Embassy in Beijing. We have received notice for the interview date shortly after. I do not remember the exact date they received my application, I will have to look at past e-mails and letters. I think the Embassy received my application in late May,early June. I am a little worried, I was told the Beijing office is really hard on the ladies during the interview process. I have a friend who's Chinese wife was refused, he appealed the decision and won! his wife will now get her visa to come to Canada.

I heard the opposite. The Hong Kong office is much harsher. A Toronto immigration lawyer said the success rate in South China is 2 / 30. The fact that you got an interview so fast is a good sign. Most HK applicants are waiting 6 months till they get an application response, never mind an interview appointment.

I like this one, because she had a whole series of pictures that showed a lot of energy, and playfulness, and it made me smile to think ...
Wow this is a woman who has a great spirit, a love of life, and real joy inside her that just seems to shine. It really drew me to her over others who seemed so serious, and with no spark at all. It has been a year since she sent to me this picture, and I now know this is her personality, she is not shy, and has a lot of spark that I really love!

Long story short was she said that she had now lost her job, and she lives at home with her mom, who is divorced from the dad. I get the feeling she brought most of the cash home to pay the bills, and she is worried as she can not find another job, so there is talk about moving to another city to look for work. I said i was patient and if she wanted to sort her job and other issues out first i would understand, but she said it was unfair to make me wait. Who knows, maybe thats the truth, she sounded pretty sincere, but maybe she has met someone in China, and did not want to hurt my feelings. I know she has not met anyone else through the dating agency as i had a pretty good relationship with our translator, and she said she is not in contact with anyone else there. But whatever, if i had been out to see her and liked her as much as i was hoping too, i would feel a bit more gutted about it. Still we had been in regular contact for three months now, so a little down about it. Oh well, s#*te happens eh? :huh:

Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Tell her you'll wait for her, encourage her to find a job and be supportive of her. This is a door, not a wall. She can't ask for your financial support so she feels unworthy of your moral support. Is she? If she is worthy of your moral support, this could be your opportunity to prove to her the type of relationship you want to have in the future.

I know what your saying, and i agree with you. I did say to her that if something is good then it's worth fighting for, and i was fully prepared to wait until things were sorted out and i was prepared to support her and help if she needed it, but she still said no and this is the best thing to do. You can only take so many no's before you cut your losses right? It was these answers and other things that made me think that maybe something else is going on. Things like a week after we stopped using the emf system and was using direct emails and QQ she wants to stop the relationship, so no more emf revenue coming in, just makes me think a little. Like i say, she says she wants to remain in contact, but wants me as a brother. I guess i'll have to wait and see. If we do remain in contact, and in a couple of months things are sorted out. Maybe we will start things up again. If i never get a reply from her again, i guess maybe i was being scammed. Only time will tell.

Here is my a nice picture of Ling i took in February, I have one nicer I think but its in raw format and I haven't installed the conversion software on this pc yet.
The camera focused wrong but it kinda is just like I saw her..soft..warm..yeah I was in love hard :) I never got over her fully which is why I'm going to visit her again and see how things go (I was the jerk that split up with her..)

Haha, yeah i said Wo ai ni that night a little too loud and the people in the next table all looked over and Ling blushed but she was obviously delighted all the same as she was especially warm that evening :)

My wife, has some friends interested in western men, I will see what we can do, to get them to join...only problem...this is in English and they are Chinese...we will look into this and see if we can work around these problems! :icon_biggrin: I would rather see everybody meet up, without chnlove/agency interference, best of all, it don't cost a damn dime! My wife had joined this site and left one post, when I was in Changsha...I will see if she can get back on! She told me yesterday, another good friend was interested...I know, they can use QQ....most, if not all, do use QQ frequently. I wouldn't recommend them putting their QQ info in public view...butt, this info can be transfered with other methods. I will talk with her more about this and see what we can do!

I'd like to see this as well. I'm sure that those of you who have found the one for you have many friends who would be interested, but we must also take their privacy into account. Especially considering I see googlebot roaming around every once in a while. I would be interested in meeting some of these wonderful women, but not at the cost of their privacy.

Funghuan is a old town situated about 5 or 6 hours from Changsha.. Nik have some photos from this town on his personal blog..
Changsha will have to wait for 2 years now. First my wife and her daughter is on their way to come and live in Sweden. I guess the Visa is about 2 or 3 months away.. Next summer we will travel in Sweden and Norway on our vacation.. My guess is that my wife will be back in Changsha on vacation before I will have a chance.
I guess you will also be back soon :icon_biggrin:

Well, i have just finished having a wonderful weekend with my gal, she came over on Friday and has just gone home...:( My flat feels empty without her... We went to London yesterday and wondered around the west end, China town, and finished up walking along the Southbank it was such a nice time being with her, i can not wait till she comes round on Thursday to spend Xmas with me..:) I managed to take some pictures of the two of us, sorry about the quality as they were taken on my mobile phone, plus it was damn cold and my hand was shaking a little, but i like the pictures and it gives me something to look at when i'm at work now. But anyhow here she is...:)
Ps, if any of the guy's can either re-size the pictures so they do not blow up so big, or tell me how to do it myself, it would be appreciated as i'm pretty much computer illiterate...:)

I use Irfanview -is free and works on Windows XP/Vista/7 , there is also a batch resize function so you can just pick a folder with all your photos and resize them all at once which is very convenient i find.

I tried to take photos of Peggy with the flowers I sent her yesterday. She posed in front of her web camera. I turned the flash off on my camera. It is a 10Mpix camera. The photos were horrible. Blurry which a tripod will fix but the photos looked pixelated. (I am sure there is a real word for this.)
I use Irfanview software. Is there something I can do or a free program to make the pictures look better?

are you using qq for chatting? You can save pictures from qq (but they're small), but they're guaranteed to be better quality than taking a photograph of your monitor. Under her picture there are a few buttons, one will let you save a picture.

Neil we used yahoo messenger. It is the one she prefers and of course they do not have a button to save a picture.

Shaun, better check at the computer store as a lot of the problems are with the cheap cameras. I used a cheap one and it was not
very good, however a buddy had one that was more expensive and had greater picture capability. It could also be your girlfriends camera, having a low resolution. Best check her camera when you go there, see what she has, perhaps upgrade it or the software.
What kind of pose's Shaun ? the kind that raise your blood pressure...haha :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

press the "prtscn" button (that copies the screen)
open mspaint and hit to paste the entire screen into paint.
use the crop tool to cut out her picture and save it separately - it will take some practice, try it first while not chatting so you're not rushed.

Press the Apple button, Shift and #4 at the same time and a target site will come up Bring the target to the corner of the picture you want and click and hold then drag to the rest of what you want. Release and it will put it on the desktop as "Picture 1" No editing unless you want to change it?

I have not used it on a web cam session. I have not had a web cam session with anybody. I had a chat with a very nice lady and she sent me a still photo of herself. I have always used the right click method to save photos. I used to have a program called "Freeze Frame". Worked great to capture almost anything that came up on the screen. I wonder what happened to the program.

Another option in QQ would be to open it in full screen, and use the screen capture button. You can highlight the area you want to capture. I haven't tried this personally...at least not to try and save a picture, but I can't see why it wouldn't work.

lol....no can do! What I wish I could post here is her laughter though...God that woman is always laughing and giggling. We talked for an hour this morning before I went to work, and I've spent the whole day since giggling at everything myself, lol. I thought I'd add a photo of the girl I've been talking to. She lives in Shenzhen and is very loving and compassionate. She does not have her own computer so it makes it challenging to see and talk with her more frequently. We did have one cam session on Yahoo when she was visiting a friend who let her use her computer. I am planning to get there to see and meet her face to face for the first time in the middle of May.
I think I like the third one the best, I like the playful, mischievous look in her eyes.

My sister's family just spent a lovely 10 days in Hong Kong with my wife and I. Last weekend, we went to Hong Kong's most beautiful beach, Tai Long Wan, and to some lovely waterfalls at Ng Tung Chai, where I couldn't resist a swim. My wife was the perfect host, making us all some fantastic meals. My brother-in-law, who is French, introduced my wife to the joys of the barbecue.

I became acustomed to the Asian face long ago and there is as much or more variety in the Asian face than the European face. You find a face in China and there is an European counterpart (without the Asian flair) but very similar none the less.
I like to sit on the bus and study faces (men and women). Am I weird?
Fiona has two aunts that are elderly and not attractive at all but they are healthy and wholesome and that makes them beautiful.

When i was in Handan and i was sick with pneumonia if not for the persistence and love from my wife i might not be here today, She sat with me every day i was in the hospital for the 8 days and never left my side once, To me she is a god send and i will give her all i am every day for the rest of my life.

Arnold, I am not an artist or especially talented. It is amazingly simple with the tools that come with windows.
I don't know which software package it came with but I am using windows live movie maker. It either came with Microsoft office or windows live essentials.
It has built in templates and all you do is select one then point , click, drag and drop and in a little while you are finished. Its a great way to put together a slideshow without a lot of trouble and conversions between different formats. It will even publish it to your website for you. Try it, you will be surprised about how easy it is. (and best of all it is FREE)

OK I have deflated my big head and now my ego is back to normal size. Here are some more things that are helpful.
It helps to have a youtube account (also free) because you will need a place to publish your work when you are finished.
There are otherplaces on the web that allow you to store your photos for free. http://imageshack.us (http://Posts: 296

An audio ripper so you can find and save your favorite audio tracks. I use Audials 8. It will capture the audio stream from your sound card as you are playing it. So anything you can hear on your speakers it can capture.
A photo editor is not required but is nice to have for cropping photos and deleting areas of the photo that are not interesting. Photo quality is not so important for closeups but when cropping landscapes you will loose quality as you "zoom" in. I set my camera to the highest possible resolution.
When online QQ video chatt I am always randomly taking snapshots of Fiona. I get some really funny shots that way. (it is also good documentation for the USCIS).
TAKE LOTS AND LOTS of photos. You will throw away 90% but the ones left are really jewels.
Keep spare batteries fully charged available.
Keep a spare memory card available.
If you have any secrets or pointers, this thread is a good a place as any to share them with the rest of us.

Old thread, anyway since it is quiet these day. I thougth i would post a picture of my loved one. She is from Vietnam and the picture is taken on the beach where she entered a boat and fled the country, more than 25 years ago. She is very caring and always smiling. With her caring nature she has totally won my father, it is almost funny. He smiles when we come on a visit and he only want to speak with her, and she is happy to speak with him, and help him around the house. Im reduced to driver and "go for", when we visit him.

the KTV was an odd occasion. I was the first to sing. I chose "Crying" by Roy Orbison.
it was one of the few English selections so I went with it standing up, facing away, & forward the group.
after I sang I then realized that this is not the way the Chinese do it. my wife loved it much...not odd
that during the long immigration separation, we played it, sang it, repeatedly. to the point of pure boredom.
at the KTV, my wife, my family sat, stared at the program, and dutifully sang their songs. enjoying themselves immensely.
what I found odd was the Chinese reluctance to stand above, out of, the crowd. sort of like if they sing, they sing along
side their group.
it was the beginning of my understanding of 'group consensus', Chinese style. it was like my kicking a few
stones at the doorstep of the Chinese stone alter without realizing there is a Chinese stone alter.
my life was beginning to become very interesting.

there is no slowing down.
no thoughts for sedate retirement lifestyles.
no thoughts of negativity from strange pale faces or 'use- to- be- friends'.
no thoughts of failure with the ONE woman of my life choice.
it is just a matter of luck, of 'divine intervention', plus a good dose of cultural awareness & understanding.
no logical order exists. you different. she different. we all different.
figure out the grand scenario, to each or all.
a few years back, I always thought my path in life, lonely, strewn about with hazards.
now, Jing & I are one, kicking aside the b.s. as it presents.
I would not have it any other way.

finally, the other side...
there was a small matter of luck back then. remember some of the ladies had attached videos to their bios? luckily, Jing had a nice play...she even looked like her pics! (not that she is bad looking or not. I find her beautiful, most importantly, remarkable). so, I kind of knew that her bios was true to the spirit of China. still, it was my knowledgeable navigation, that keyed success for me.
now, I think ChnLove members pay for the video if I am not mistaken. so that easy avenue is no longer available unless you pay.

John, I was always very impressed of the "Pioneer's" of the 1800's, the courage they possesed to go "West"!
In a way, we are "Pioneer's of our time frame, as we also moved "West" (some East) to the un-known. I think both those kind of Men will soon be gone ones more.

Great photo. I Just wish we could upload higher resolution photos. I always try and get rejected and have to resize it to get it to upload.

This is a free site, and bandwidth probably costs more as pictures become bigger.
I use dropbox or photobucket to store most of my pictures. I think we can post links. I wonder if we can post previews as well? I'll try.

Thanks Gerry , yes all my photos start at 3 upto 4.5 so no use loading them , I was looking at the media site , but that is a no no to , I was looking at dropping some of my Shanghai photos from December , guess I will just have to enjoy them by myself ha ha , regards Robert

I/we all have the same problem. What I do is display them on my photoviewer on my desk top and then use the QQ snipping tool to cut just the piece I want to share. It will also rescale it at the same time. This has never failed for me.

My favourite photo on the wall at home has today been replaced by my wife's choice. A giant life size poster of Mao Tse Tong. He was from Hunan same as my wife.
I won't add a picture here as I am sure you all know what he looks like!
Apart from the poster the walls have the usual array of outdated calendars. Has anyone ever known of a Chinese person throwing away anything?

It is not just a Mao Tse Tong poster. I have been presented with a brass plaque depicting him and pottery as well. ;)
As I said he was and still is a hero to my wife. :o :o
