Title: Opening A Checking Account at BOC from America
Post by: T Town Hombre on February 04, 2021, 11:01:32 am
I am interested in opening a banking account of my own in China while still in America if possible.

Anyone know how to do it?

Bank of China has an office in New York city. You might also check out Wells Fargo, they have branches in China.

I am concerned about the American economy.  It is showing signs of failing with all that is going on.  51,000 jobs over in the oil business.  A drilling moratorium on federal lands and off shore and already gasoline is up $0.20 a gallon since January 20 and going up.  I am looking for a legal place to put money for protection.  I am thinking BOC and in RMB.  I'm thinking that it might need to be inside China.  I really don't know much about banking and international law governing it.   Maybe this is the wrong place to be talking too.

I would find another place other than China to put my money. Do like the politicians do and open you an account in the Cayman Islands. Lot safer and less chance of it being seized by the government.

Any Chinese Bank based outside of mainland China is classed as a foreign bank.
