Title: bizarre relationships
Post by: Neil on January 01, 2010, 11:00:39 pm
On my first trip I met a man and his girlfriend at KTV.  He could speak English and was very rich and powerful.  He had a beautiful girlfriend and he was very proud of her, but was also sure to point out that this was not his wife, it was indeed his girlfriend.

On my next trip, She was one of the ladies that came to pick me up.  That night we had supper in a restaurant.  At the dinner there was (counterclockwise from me) Nina, her sister (best friend), an older gentleman, a pretty young lady, the girlfriend (Jenny) and Jenny's daughter.  The gentleman is Jenny's husband and I am only guessing, but I assume the young girl is the gentleman's girlfriend.

At our last dinner, it was just me, Nina, Jenny and her daughter.  Jenny's boyfriend called and we talked on the phone for a while.  He asked me to find his girlfriend a Canadian boyfriend.  I assumed he was joking, but he sounded very serious and told me he would be honored to be replaced by a man like me.

Very creepy.  Jenny seems to be around 30, her husband must be over 50, her boyfriend as well.  Her husband's girlfriend seemed to be 25 or even younger.

Perhaps Oiler should step in here. Right age, right nationality.

And Rob note that Jenny is around 30 and her husband over 50.  What does that equal - a good match.

Hahaha!!!,  Welcome to just a brief insight into the lifes of the rich and famous in China!!
There's not much that these guys can't get away with, ...it's just accepted by both the wife and the mistresses. I know of many such men, and similar stories to which Neil has written of here. Some of these guys can be keeping half a dozen such girlfriends/mistresses in plush apartments, and charge cards, .....all will be young and all will be very beautiful....

Money is ''Everything'' in China, and i do mean Everything!!!

One woman will wear shaun out :icon_cheesygrin: let alone a bevy of them.  Willy, I believe shaun will be a good long lasting customer for you...haha   No offence Shaun, but more than one would make your dig-a-ling fall off or give you a stroke.  Although it is an idea, Willy can hook you up I am sure.  Besides too much will make you go blind....:icon_cheesygrin:

Don,  far be it from me to blow your theories BUT... 1.) after 27 years of marriage I wore her out...  2.)Let me be perfectly clear (Nixon Voice) ... I do not, nor have I ever needed Viagra... (Well it is close to what he said.)  3.) If I get a choice it would not be the ding-a-ling falling off.   I won't even comment on the rest. :icon_cheesygrin:

Shaun - We have all noted that you did not quote Clintons phrase.  'I have not had sexual relations with that women'

Willy

Even Clinton was hedging his bets by not naming which one!!!!

Ted,

That's because that's where all these very rich guys prefer to be. That's where everything (including the girlfriends) they want and /or need is available to them.
Most if not all, also have estates, in out of the way places, when they need to get away. ....or to hide!!!  haha!!

I asked Nina to confirm my suspicions.  Yes, it's true.  She also was adamant about the fact that this was not her lifestyle, but she doesn't judge her friends.  So, while the lifestyle is not for everyone, it is not something that is necessarily looked down upon.  The situation seems to work for them.

I ever know this kind of girl with married man (Normally this kind of girl is poor), But I just couldn't be friend with them, the value oriented is totally different .
Why this kind of rich man can have wife and girl friends at the same time, Because he knows no one can leave him because different seasons.
Now the society become more and more tolerent. I feel sad.

Just a thought: If both parties are OK with the arrangement, is it really bad? That's what I ask. I understand you may not agree with it and I do not agree with it. But if the man and woman both go into it knowing how it works and are OK with it, then is it really bad?

Ah, but it is a path that will end in heartbreak or worse for at least one of them, if not all. To each their own...

It is ridicuous two woman can agree to share one man, But somtimes it did happen.I ever talked with the man and his first wife about their feeling. It is just too complicated to fix it and the battle between these two women will never end, even they live in two cities, the family is malformed.

This ethical question is something that has been discussed by philosophers for many hundreds of years.

Like many things it depends on the definition of the terms you are using.

I would say that it is right and proper for people to live as they wish.

However I would not wish for anyone that I cared about to live in this way - whether as the man, the wife or the girlfriend.

However many worse things happen, and all of the time.

Watch Raise the Red Lantern, a Chinese film by Zhang Yimou. It is a historical story of a wealthy man and the four wives who compete with each other for his favour. Women's roles may be different now, but I can't see things ending happily for the women.

Reg,

The simples answer is yes.  Someone always ends up getting hurt.  The human emotion cannot always be trusted because situations change.  People change their minds.  Then what do you do?

I will not say that there are not relationships like this that remain successful but I have never seen one.

Everyone I have ever seen has led to tragedy.

Shaun

How about the mormons who had many wifes and still to today they practice this around northern Arizona, southern Utah, and texas,
also other places I have not heard of.  Now granted most of the places get busted, mostly for marrying children, but there are a lot
of places that are still going,  I saw a story on one family (8 wifes 1 husband) that is going strong in southern Utah.  It seemed to be
working for them, but that's their lifestyle, not mine.  I like one woman and one woman only, although I am single right now, I like a
monogamis relationship.

Oh god, now I'm really feeling old.  I remember all those old cars when they were new and on the showroom floor, I owned a 1957 ford two door like the one there, I remember the merc's and cooked at a mel's drive in making hamburgers.  I remember the hair styles, and sneaking out with the girls to drink a beer...so much water under the bridge since then....I can still smell the hair spray (shellac) they used in their hair...haha.  Think I'll crawl off and cry now...haha

* Wolfman Jack
** Listened to him

The station I listened to him on was in NYC so the radio show was syndicated. It might not be the same as the one you know?

Went looking for a 55-57 T-bird in the 70's but couldn't find one that was worth buying. One the motor had to be rebuilt and another had front end damage with parts all over the place? So I gave up.

1.  Can you give me more detail as to where these communities are?
2.  Do these kind of communities exist in China?
