Title: Getting a Chinese Visa
Post by: mustfocus on July 16, 2011, 02:10:05 pm
Hey everyone... sorry I've been quiet lately.  Many things going on here and it's been taking it's toll.

Anyway, just thought I'd bring this up as I haven't seen any messages about this lately (although to be fare, I still have a lot of message threads to go through to catch up).  But China recently revised their VISA application (at least for Canadians).  It used to be a two page thing (one page, double sided), but now it's four pages...

Hope all is well... will post again soon (I hope)

Thanks for the update.  I'll be needing a new visa by the end of the year.  I'll have to check it out.

I just checked the website for the Chinese Embassy in the U.S., and the United States citizen application for Visa has not changed...

that is because they already changed ours, or so I was told, I happened to notice the form I had downloaded last summer was not the same as the one I was required to use in February. But just as with Canada and UK, it is still simple and straightforward.

The Aussie application form has also changed to a 4 page document.

Its not a "biggie" ........all they want extra are a few extra details about you and your immediate family and your travel, itinerary details

I had no trouble renewing my 12 month multiple entry visa in May this year.

first one I downloaded was the 4 pager, then plans changed and the new one was the 2 pager, it was posted on the Chicago consulate as the "new" form for Americans seeking visas to China, other than Business travel.
