I had to go out of town this morning when I travel I think a lot. I know, I know, it can be dangerous. But today I was thinking about this thread and I realized for the umpteenth million time that when a western woman gets what she wants or asks for it doesn't take her very long to not want it anymore.
I can remember prior to my divorce that my ex and I were having one of the same old argument we'd had for years. I can remember saying to her, so you really don't want to inform me of anything you simply want me to ask questions. She replied yes. I went on, so you are saying if I would ask you questions about everything then you would be happy and you wouldn't feel the need to get a divorce? She replied yes. So I set out to achieve her goal of me asking questions. Well it didn't take that long to figure out this wan't what she wanted. I remember her saying. "you are asking me too many questions." Never could figure that one out. I still don't know if there is an allotment of questions that a man can ask each day; I'm not sure what kinds of questions I should be asking; and I don't know if there are several subject that are off limits to these questions? My father told me about the birds and the bees but he did neglected to go into asking your wife questions. One of these days I might forgive him for that. ;D

I love it, it's every western girlfriend I had. Of course before I met Yuan, my last Chinese girl did want part of that description, good looking, lots of cash, but the cash was meant only for her to spend.
Now, I have found bliss.... piss off to the rest of them... ;D

Dumplings? where? oh, they didn't make any today (sigh of relief) I do like dumplings, but not 50 at a time. I also like beef, but mama doesn't seem to understand that I only eat beef a few times a month...

KIEV (Reuters) - A 77-year-old Ukrainian man won a jar full of sour cream for coming first in a dumpling eating contest and then promptly died, local media reported on Wednesday.
Ivan Mendel ate 10 dumplings in half a minute to win first place and a one-liter jar of sour cream in the contest held in the town of Tokmak in the southeastern Zaporizhya region on September 18, Fakty I Kommentarii newspaper said.
Shortly afterwards, Mendel became unwell and died, according to local news websites.
Dumplings, called "vareniki" in the former Soviet republic, are a staple of Ukrainian cuisine and are often stuffed with a range of fillings from mushrooms to cherries.

Well I've been thinking about this topic since it was first posted and my reason is ,all the above, and more.
I,like so many other men have always had a soft spot for Asian women, but never thought i would be married to one. After being pushed into looking for a girlfriend I did a quick look around the local on line scene and quickly realised why i got divorced in the first place.
After looking at all the Asian countries on line I was not satisfied that they were all that sincere and that I was not going to be a meal tickit and a free passage into OZ.
I don't know why but I never thought of China until i had nowhere els to look and when I cracked open Chn Love ,Bloody Hell! I couldn't believe my eyes, I felt like a kid in a lolly shop, (candy store ) and when i saw how commited to family and husbands they all seemed to be well i just had to find out more. and you know what they say, the rest is history.
One thing, among many that really stands out for my about Chinese women is, you give a little and get a lot in return, now i don't know about you but for me that just makes me want to give more and more , I" m doing things and will continue to do more fore my wife than i ever have before, why, because she's worth it.

The final chapter, for those who do not know, was written in Thailand, and thus with the Ladyboys, Willy felt it in the END. I must say that last chapter was very riveting, but since it isn't my style, it did not keep me UP all night ;D

Just got a reminder on how lucky I'm (we are). Down with the flu and sligth fever, feeling loosy like we men tend to do..... When i got home from work yesterday I she had prepared a nice meal, finished just 10 minutes after I arrived home. Do not know how she timed that. After that I was told to relax on the sofa, whens she had fixed the kitchen after dinner she brougth me tea with ginger and some chocolate to snack on. During the evening she checked all the time if I was ok and needed something. At one point I asked about the nice cognac I have, suggested that some cognac was good medicin, but then she said no ! Stupid western people, that was no good ;D
After we had got to bed she started to suggest that i stayed home from work, and asked if I wanted some Tiger balm under the nose to breath easier etc.
Today I'm working from home, pretty much half machine. She has alredy called me two times to check if I have med me tea and found the ginger, and that i have eaten something. She manages to do all this without any fuss. ...I must add that I do my best to help her, I really appreciate the way she takes care of me. I do my best to "invest" in her so it can continue for a long time.

My reason for going Asian is simple (like others here) fed up with the lying western women.
But, I must give credit to those Chinese women I have known.. Kathy' 'Ann', and especially 'Sophie'(zhang ying) it was my pleaseure to know them, the way I have been treated (ok, lets forget Kathy's dad and her loyalty to family) I have been spoken too like a 'LORD', treated like a 'KING' helped when I have been hurted and sick have been taken care of like someone IMPORTANT to them.
Their values, manners and kindness has MADE it IMPOSSIBLE for me to return to western women. IF (and this is a BIG if) I never returned to china, then I will still know in my heart that I have truly been loved by beautiful women with BIG hearts.
The lady I'm chatting too just now is from Guandong and I will be going top meet her sometime early in 2012, this of course is after I meet our old Londoner friend Willy. ;D ;D

This past weekend my son and I were watching some wild spring break like celebration on the TV. Bunch of drunken kids running around in wet bathingsuits. I kept remarking to my son about how chubby the girls were. Really big butts and thick across the waist. He looked at me and asked what's wrong with you? these are really hot girls! Then it dawned on me that I had spent the last year viewing the healthy ladies in Guangzhou. Thin legs, small breast, petite butt and very trim about the waist. I just got used to them and now if I want to persue my hobby of girl watching I would much rather do it in China. There are women of every size and shape in Guangzhou but for the most part they look slim and healthy. There are ugly fat women everywhere and Guangzhou has its share but in comparison Chinese women are thinner and healthier and generally more attractive than their western counterpart. Just one of the many reasons to go Asian.
Robbie. I wish you good luck with the lady in Guangdong but if it doesnt work out there are a few million more there that will treat you like a king. When are you going? I plan to go back on Jan 1.

I must say that i agree with Gerry, Every time i arrive home and look around Perth airport, The first thing i notice is the over-sized butts of the western women, My wife is a little larger than the average Chinese women but no-where as big as the western woman, Her breasts are larger than most Chinese women too but I am not complaining ;D , I also notice the way that the larger majority of Chinese women have more pride in their appearance as in their hair and dress sense, Before i was married to MinYing her friends tell me that she used to have no pride in the way she looked but now every night she comes on-line I think she looks absolutely beautiful, Just another reason i went Asian, John.

Thanks guys, She is not only beautiful but she is wonderful too, Around 42 days now and i will again be with her for around 29 days, We are also hoping for the visa approval to be granted within the next 30 days or so and then she can travel back with me to Australia and we can begin our new life face to face instead of QQ every night, Yes Arnold, It looks like the exact spot we sat on, I think the city of Suzhou was fantastic, I would recommend if anyone has the chance to travel there, they would enjoy the city as much as we have, I would like to return there again in the distant future, John.

As for me, we are under the 30 day mark, my girl Yuan, like John's MinYing, not average size(5'7" that's 170cm for the rest of the world), but she is very focused on maintaining the appearance for everyone to know and she apparently now likes to flash the ring around. Apparently their is a rumor about what I would do to anyone who attempted or accomplished stealing it :-\
but the important part, 29 days and we are together again. Then I come back and have no life for 2 1/2 months, with a 2 1/2 week break for the hunli and then another couple weeks of no life for tax season. I've safely got my schedule about set for tax season though. I have been working on get a 'company job' though. I hate the idea, but her mama wants to brag that her son-in-law is with somebody (damn face thing). Oh well, as long as I can squeeze in my tax clients every Spring.
Oh, my mom had it out with Grandpa.... I'm not going over there for a couple weeks.... but I will plant more blackberries come spring, maybe get him some new strawberries, his died off, looks like they were sprayed with something.

I just went asian because the girl I met was perfect. If she was Greek, Lebanese, Koori, American or Eskimo, I would feel the same about her.
But I have to admit, every time I get back home, I can't help notice all the fat asses around............ amazing!!! must be the hormones in the chicken.
I read some where a few years ago that by 2400, almost everyone will look pretty similar, and I guess that no longer suprises me. When I was a kid, marrying an asian woman was a rarity, now it seems almost the norm around here. I am pretty sure the Aussie european population won't even make it to 2400.
John, you have a lovely lady.... can see it in her eyes. Haha, I bet you, like everyone else here, wish you had made that choice the first time!!! Still, being young and dumb is all part of life.

The irony about that prediction on physical appearance by 2400, all humans share over 99% of the available genetic variation. Which is to say, we're not really different, that 1%, it's not skin tone, apparently we all possess the ability to have dark or light skin. The variations are more the things we really don't want (bad mutations and disorders)
As for all the fat asses, the worst is now that my little sister finally left her deadbeat boyfriend (yes, he really is, all three of her brothers were wondering what hole we could stuff him in), the 4 years she spent with that loser she now an ass bigger than a 1950s Buick and she's angry because her doc is chastising her for allowing it to happen. BTW, she was into gymnastics and running before she met him.... Now she's got that dietary issue that most westerners have, too much fat and bad carbs, not enough fruit and veggies. I can't say much, since returning this last trip, I have caught myself eating for convenience a few times.
I'm glad my beautiful wife worries about both of our health. If she would just understand that her friends are wrong and she doesn't need "big eyes" to live in the west.

Good gosh yes Arnold. Sometimes it seems that Peggy continually apologises about these kinds of things. The biggest issue is her skin. I keep telling her that I like it and that many of the women in America would kill for it. Yes it is a little darker than most but it is beautiful. Mine will get almost that dark in the summer. At least I don't have to pay for visits to the tanning machine anymore.

Strange how the things, I find attractive, are the same things Ping feels insecure about. Her height is her biggest concern. I myself love the fact that I can kiss the top of her head when we hug. Her second biggest concern is skin tone, this is where the trouble begins. While I love the fact that she is shorter than me. I have found out the hard way, (on those bright sunny days) those points on her umbrella are just about at my eye level. I end up looking like this---> ;) even when I'm not winking. I have told her more than once -"If I ran China the first thing I would do is outlaw umbrellas if it's not raining."
The second thing I would do is to outlaw those whitening cream masks- One night I was in bed just about to drift off to sleep, when I felt Ping getting into bed next to me, so I turned to give her a kiss goodnight ,and was greeted by Jason from Friday the 13th fame. I swear my heart skipped a beat or two....strange hotel ...different country... and a short Jason sitting up in bed next to me. Try sleeping after that.

Mike, I think the shade of their skin is one of those things that we will never understand. I will argue with Peggy for a while then I realize that she fusses about me as much as she does about her skin, so then I smile and say, "I understand."
Also, I think they say all of this so we will tell them how beautiful just like they are and that makes them feel good. So, nothing is lost and brownie points are made. That is what I call a win-win situation. ;D ;D ;D
It isn't like the arguments that a man loses every time. My ex used to ask me, "Do you think I am fat?" You can't win with that kind of question. It doesn't matter what you say, an argument ensues and the male loses. I did make her laugh one time but she still got mad. We were in a clothing store and she was trying on a new pair of pants. She called me from the dressing room and asked me to get a pair of pants the next size up. Uh Oh! :o I knew I was already in trouble but I got them anyway. I should have pretended I was asleep. I did that often.
She came out of the dressing room with the larger size pants on and looked at her butt in the mirror. She asked me if her butt looked too big? I responded by saying rather loudly, "Does anyone have a gun I can borrow? I'd rather shoot myself than answer her question?" Yes, I know a dumb response but everyone laughed including my ex. Once we got outside in the car the ()&*^# hit the fan. Man I don't miss those days at all.
Come to think of it, in a round about way I think I answered why I went Asian except for how lovely and beautiful and kind and slender and ... these women can be. ;D I feel I am luckier than all of you guys put together with one exception. I'm here and she is in china. :'(

Thought I bring this subject back to life and post for those that haven't had the chance read or know about my Blog.
Anyway, this is my reason for going "Chinese" and get ruined for any western woman.

Why did I select a chinese Woman , to be my Wife ?
I know , I am not the only one too have ask that question , in the past . Why choose a Woman that lives halfway around the World , when there are plenty in my Hometown or a lot closer ? I , to start , have alway's liked the Chinese Culture and their very old and very interesting History , that stretches over many thousand of year's . So was alway's fascinated , whatever had to do with China , as a Child and now as an Adult . I never like our own ( german ) history , except the time when all those Castle's were build and their great story's , which of course some were very bloody then , but that was my biggest interest , when all those Knight's roamed the Countryside . World War I & World War II , was a very dark period in Germany and I really did not want to be part of it or to know much about it . Anyhow , back to why I wanted to choose a chinese Woman as a Wife . Actually , it was just a Dream that I had at first , what would it be like ? To really be married to such a beautiful Woman ? By that , I mean ... they are all so beautiful in their appearance , alway's that beautiful long black Hair and of course one must mention those gorgeous and intriqueing Eyes , that can almost hypnotize you and leave you speachless . So how did this dream turn into reality ? This is where Fate / Destiny comes in , like with a big boom one day , and behold , what comes on my TV screen ? Watching PBS , which is one of the Channel's I watch the most , I see the 12 Girl's Band's concert from Shanghai , right from below the Oriental Pearl Tower . Now , not only did the night scene of Shanghai , blow me away , but the Music of those Girl's was just to much to fill my Heart . Listening to these wonderful , most beautiful Women , playing their traditional chinese instrument's , I could do no less , then get a roundtrip Ticket to Shanghai , just two weeks after that concert . Mind you , that trip was in Honor of my first Wife , that passed away from Cancer . Those Ticket's were for May 6th '08 , which would have been our 30 th Anniversary . So , at that moment , I have not heared one work about Chnlove yet . This is when Fate / Destiny took over my Life so to speak and I followed it like a little Kid following his/her Mom , wherever she goes . At this time all I could think off , was how beautiful and talented those 12Girl's ( 13 actually ) were , that left me dreaming and picking two or three that I really had a crush on , like a teenager on his first Girl . That very moment , I decided and made up my Mind , that I would want a chinese Woman as my next Wife . Little did I know , that Fate was going to bring me to Qing eventually . Realizing , after getting to know Her really well , that these Women , are not just gorgeous on the outside , but even more beautiful on the inside . As a Man , that was just month's earlier moarning the loss of a equally wonderful Woman , I could not retain myself and wanted to just go out and scream how much I love that Woman , that I have met over the Internet . I could have kissed my Computer for what it had done for me . It opened up my Heart to a new Life , with the MOST lovely , nicest , warmhearted , soft voiced , brilliantly smart ( tri langual ) , tall and now my Wife / Lao Po / Tai Tai , my Shanghai Flower .
A chinese Wife , I would not want it any other way .

For the ones that are truly interested and curious I tell them the many benefits of the good Chinese wife, for the pissed off feminist friends that ask why I chose a Chinese woman for my wife, I just reply " Well everything else in my home is made in China , why change up now? " You should see the looks I get sometimes, everything from absolute rage to complete astonishment! ;D

Why did I select a chinese Woman , to be my Wife ?
I can still remember my thoughts when I stepped onto Chinese soil having embarked from the Ferry from Hong Kong Airport. That was a moment when on the walk to the the exit I was saying to myself ' Willy. What the f--- you thinking about? Coming all this way to meet a women at your bloody age'.
Then on that short walk I convinced myself that all will be well and that in 6 week time I would be back in England having had a good holiday.
Well that walk took place over 3 years ago now and I am just about to celebrate my 4th Birthday in China. Ok the lady I came to meet was a no go. A few more ladies went passed and one in particular took my fancy but we had our differences and that was when I was famously got dumped by text.
But I was enthrolled by Chinese women. I stood my ground and 4 months later I met a lady. A further three months later,(note I did not rush it) after being together every day. we were married. From the start she treated me like no other and she still treats me like a king today. My every whim is asceeded to.
Ok there are one or two drawbacks about living in China but none that outweigh what I now have.
I am certainly glad that after more than 45 years of being of a mariageable age I made the decision that I did. (Only my wife and the passport office know my true age.) But in the not too distant future there will soon be a time where all the Viagra or Cialis in the world will not do its work but I hope one thing will be still standing firm and that is the woman in my life.

You know, I've never had a bad word said to me about marrying a Chinese woman. My friends envy me, my ex wife is happy for me, my female friends are eager to meet her, my family is all very supportive. I've never had to defend my decision - maybe I will at our immigration appeal.

I am in the same boat as Neil, never had a bad word said, well none that I have heard anyway....might be that Oz is such a multi cultural place anyway with lots of Australian born Asians here anyway. All the family love her especially mum who now has another grand child...
All except the EX don't know what she would think and could not give a f@*% anyway.

I don't get these comments, but I'm sure many are thinking the same thing about me. I do notice though, most western Women around my age.. do give Qing a strange look and then on to me.. as to say.. what's wrong with us? If you don't know by now, than its your loss.. Girl. Now with the Son here, I get even more pleasure being in the crowd.. when Qing and her Son talk shanghainese together and I add my little knowhow. This seams to bring a few to a certain boiling-point, not knowing what's being said. Love it!

Funny David E and Arnold , I am sure the same is said about me , but Sujuan accidently creates confusion at the club we frequent on a Friday and Saturday night where they have live 70's - 80's R & R cover bands . She will always invite several of her single employees to join us , plus a couple who have their own transport , so out of the 200 plus that get there about 70% know me , but most are totally confused by all the lovely Chinese ladies that I am lucky to dance with , keeps an old guy youg , at least in mind , regards Sujuan and Robert .

I personally find that when my wife criticizes me for something, she does in more of an amusing way, like my singing, everyone wants to hear my sing. my wife knows I play musical instruments and that I used to sing, but she also knows I lost my singing voice in the army (cadence, drinking, smoking, more cadence), she will simply smile, "oh, so beautiful. not you, me. you sing... eh... not good." yet everyone else in China applauds, I'm so glad she's honest. she is not aware of how we do KTV (karaoke) in the states yet. oh, but she'll find out. that is guaranteed. as for everyone else saying I sing good. when my folks were visiting for the wedding party, people wanted my dad to sing... we successfully prevented an embarrassing event there... he's what you would call "tone deaf"

well, I'm up for more KTV, I think my wife is afraid I'll sing country songs, because her mama's friends always have me sing some country song. It's never Garth Brooks, always John Denver or Alabama. I usually afterward will do Bryan Adams, or any other balladeer, I know I can perform their songs. Last time we went out, I did a Richard Marx duet with one of our friends. She said I was terrible, as usual and with a smile, everyone else praised me.
I think she's just trying to poke fun in her way. She's been told by my sister, that I lost the voice I had before I went in the army, when I studied music, not financial statements. So she know I can read and understand music. I don't worry, she hasn't threatened to divorce me and my dad started to sing ( we covered his mouth) following the wedding. She now knows, my dad is tone deaf.
but hey, I'm always up for it, especially after a couple drinks....

She is singer Kellie Pickler (not a real blond) but she is a southern girl (ahem) Shaun.
Don't feel bad Willy. It came to light maybe in the 80's? that most children to young adults in the US cannot name all the states, nor pick them out on a map. Of course this went on to naming and picking out other countries.
