Noooooooooooo...not ominous at all!

One of the ladies I am writing to...one I am starting to like a lot...tells me her friend, Jing, married a man from Canada and moved there with him. Looking to verify this and get some inside information :icon_biggrin:

Ah.  I remember reading somewhere in the official forums that they might have married someone like that...I think they're either in Winnipeg or somewhere near Rhonald's neck of the woods.

Thanks Rhonald. I actually did not doubt what my lady friend said, I was just hoping that perhaps by some incedible stroke of luck the guy might be a brother here-what a great advantage that would be, lol. A backdoor channel of communication and getting some outside information. Ahhh well. Just have to slog on as I was :icon_biggrin:

 Well, I guess Canada must be full of guys who married a lady from China named Jing....:dodgy:

I've asked Xin (my lady friend who told me about her friend Jing) a bit more about this, she says they now live in Nevada. I'd ask if there were any brothers here from Canada who married a lady named Jing from China and moved to Nevada, but I suspect maybe Nevada is overrun by Canadian husbands of chinese ladies named Jing.....:icon_cool:

Guess I'll just get a map of Nevada out and look for a town named Jing. lol.

BTW, I married a Canadian woman once. I know why you guys are looking in China now. I'd tell ya what she said about Canadian men, lol, but I am sure she now says the same about american men too!

will say the same about american men. but then again thats why

Well, remember, these are HER words, not mine.

I asked her early on why she couldn't find a man in Canada, why she wanted to come to america to find a husband.

She said 'My friends and I all say the same thing-all men in Canada have dirty underwear'.

Like I said, HER words, not mine, and I am sure she says the same about american men now too. In fact one of the last things she said to me before she went back was that she hated america and americans. Except me of course-she wanted me to move back with her. What she really wanted was complete control over everything.

thats not as bad as what i thought she might have said. did she ever remarry?
when you meet your lady send her a postcard from China with your beautiful
lady you meet. and tell her everything is terrific and should have done this years
ago. :icon_cheesygrin:

That'll do the trick! Especially since I told her there was no way I was ever going to Canada! lol! Not that I have anything against Canada, except for the women, at least some of 'em.

showing that your happy is usually the best medicine for these shallow
women who think that after your not with them you will not be happy.
and that since your not together you made the mistake of losing
the shallow, ungrateful, selfish, woman who was the best for you

Ya know, it's like that woman has psychic abilities. Now that I may have something started with a lady in china, she just im'd me last night, told me she lost her job, hinted she wanted to come back, asked if I could send her some money to help her out. I told her she would never be happy here, that I made the mistake of letting her come here the first time not being sure she could be happy here. She gave up her green card when she went back, and she wouldn't be able to work IF I let her come back-which I do not plan to do, anyway. I've gotten to the point where I don't know how much of what she says to believe. She has a tendency to make things up to manipulate me.

Thanks Ying. If I understand you correctly, you are right. I am sentimental and soft hearted, especially when someone is in need. She knows this. The last thing that woman saw me do, when I took her to the station so that she could go back  to Canada, was give some money to a couple that were stranded at the station so they could get home, total strangers.

there is a big difference with being kind hearted and stupid. i think
she is hoping that you will be stupid enough to take her up on her
offer. and also support her when she gets there probably until she
could find someone else.

Well, she might get a small amount of money from me, but she will not be coming back here. If she really did lose her job, then the problem is that her plan backfired on her, and now I am the escape plan-it isn't about wanting to live here, or live here with me. And I've moved on, anyway. I don't want to talk bad about her, but she has some problems, and the most I'll be is a friend from 1,600 miles away. She'll never be happy here, because she'll never be happy. Like the majority of western women, she doesn't know what she wants, and when she gets what she thinks she wants, she decides she wants something different. I can't say I don't still care about her, which is why I'll send a bit of money to help her out, but that is as far as I can go with her now.

sure i would do the same for my ex but you
sometimes have to be careful as they take that
in a different context and think they can get more

Well, she is definitely fishing for an 'I still love you' from me. I told her I care, and she got upset that I wouldn't say 'love'. I tried to get her to think through what she was doing when she went back, but she slammed the door on the discussion at every turn, everytime. As I understand it, they will only let her back in the country here if she renounces her canadian citizenship-then she'd have no citizenship, here, there, or anywhere. And then I'd be financially responsible to support her for 5 years, whether she stayed with me or not. I just can't take that chance on her, after what she did. And besides, I decided a few weeks ago to go down this path here, and I'm not turning back until I am done exploring this.

Roy,

the journey here will be with its ups and downs but i must
say that upon comepleting your journey when you meet the
right lady will be a wonderful time. stick it out and you will
not regret it at that time as all of us who finally got there
can attest to.

Thanks Ted. I have to say that I am looking forward to the journey as well as the final destination, as daunting as it honestly seems at the beginning here. The ups and downs will teach me things about myself I'll never discover any other way, and I am something of a romantic; what could be more romantic than undertaking such a great adventure into an ancient and foreign world, to find what so many of you here tell me you have found? There is no other treasure I have ever wanted, to be honest with you. I may win, or I may lose, but for damn sure I will have lived through the process when it's done.
