Title: Okay if it's slow here - how about a beauty pagent!
Post by: Rhonald on September 11, 2011, 11:39:20 pm: There are 10 Asian ladies in the competition but the Poll rules say to only upload 8 pictures - so I decided which two to exclude. It had nothing to do with them witholding favours! So you be the Judge. I will let the poll run for 2 days and by that time the official Miss Universe pageant will have been completed in Brazil.

May I have the Envelope Please

I think Miss Singapore is the only other with the beautiful Asian Face .

Arnold, now that I have been to China 7 times, I would disagree with you. I think you are referring to our image of a traditional looking Chinese girl, which she has. But I have seen many girls over in China that I could swear looked European in facial features. I think Miss Guam looks more Thailand than Miss Thailand does. I believe Miss Singapore has that traditional Chinese look as well. And as to too much make up on - Miss China is the only one that went with bright red lipstick. Also be carefull when saying Asian look - because most people equate Asian with China - even girls from India are Asian.

The Philippines was inhabited by the Spaniards thus the influence can be seen and heard. I always loved mixed gene pools as I believe it can create very exquisite beauties. But then all these girls are pretty in their own way, some with dazzling smiles, some with sparkling eyes.

The Miss China wears Red Lipstick to match her Dress , thus the bright/standout look . Heck , I would want to stand out too in a Contest and she did a great Job . The difference is she still looks Chinese/Asian . Look at the Japanese Girl , really .. I do NOT see anything even close to Japanese . Thats really sad , do they all want to be like western looking Women and are loosing their Root's ?

The first runner-up was 23-year-old Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine and the second runner-up was Priscila Machado of Brazil. The third was Miss Philippines and the fourth Miss China.

Hey 2 of our Asian girls made it quite far.

Only because she had no votes and China is this week holding the Ethnic Minorities Games. So it would have been in keeping with current events. The opening ceremony was as big as the Olympics!

I have seem some peculiar events I can tell you.

Spinning a wooden top and trying to knock another of the podium. Tug of war back to back length of material between legs and pull for men only!!!
