swords in stowed baggage

My wife found some ornamental swords that will make nice gifts.  They shouldn't be a problem on the plane in my stowed baggage, right?

If they are not full size, I see no problem if in Suitcase. Might cause them to open your bag though to check. If full size, warp separately and tell them what they are when you check in. I would box them somehow, easier on the carousel to pick them up later.
