Home-Made Apple-Pie Recipe ( Liquid Version)
« on: December 14, 2014, 09:11:31 pm »
Here is a very good recipe for those who enjoy a warm toddy on a cold night. I just made a batch tonight to give away to my close friends who partake in the spirits! ;D

Ingredients:

(1) gallon Apple Cider
(1/2) gallon Apple Juice
(1) 750ml bottle of " Everclear " grain alcohol 190 proof or a high proof vodka
(1.5) cups of vanilla vodka
(1.0) cup Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
(3) cups of dark brown sugar
(1) cup of white sugar
(12) cinnamon sticks

Pour cider and apple juice into a large stockpot, add 3-4 cinnamon sticks and bring to a good simmer. After you see steam vapor rising start stirring in the brown sugar and white sugar making sure they both dissolve completely.

After the sugars are dissolved remove the pot from the heat source and allow to cool to room temperature ( you can place the pot in a sink of cold water to speed the cooling process).

Once the juice and sugar mixture has completely cooled pour in the entire bottle of Everclear, the 1.5 cup of vanilla vodka, and the 1 cup of spiced rum and stir very well.

Now it is time to bottle the concoction for later consumption or gifting. This recipes makes about 1.5 gallons of Apple-Pie so you will to get some clean empty bottles or purchase canning jars for that nostalgic look.

I used 12 pint sized mason jars and the empty glass cider bottle for the excess left over after making my gifts. I also add cinnamon sticks in the jars for added flavoring. This stuff is good when you make it, but better after it has aged for awhile.

Happy Holidays to all and please be safe!

This a few of the bottled gifts. You can see that I have added cinnamon sticks in the jars also.

my liver just passed out.
Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
