Well she's a real lady
« on: October 03, 2010, 05:17:34 pm »
This morning I spoke with a woman in China with Yahoo IM, web cams and a call through the computer, she is beautiful and she looks like she is only in her mid 30's although she's not, she is older, anyway, we talked from 6 am until noon today, I feel like we know each other from an other life time. :D
I had to use google translate for most of what she wrote but could understand most of what she said, but was very hard sometimes. :o
now could someone please tell me what Lao Gong ( I think this is how it's spelled, I spelled it the way it sounded ) means? :-\
Thanks in advance

consider using www.mdbg.net instead of Google translate.  It uses Google translate's back-end, but lists the characters and their possible meanings.  It's a great way to learn the characters, the pinyin pronunciation and the possible meanings (to prevent misunderstandings that are sure to arise).  It even will allow you to listen to the words individually.

I just got back from China actually, and MDBG was very slow (because of Google being blocked in China I believe).  I had to rely on Yahoo translate and Bing translate, which led to many bad translations.  Google is the clear winner when it comes to the technology.  Many times Yahoo would forget verbs.

try this:   http://fanyi.cn.yahoo.com/translate_txt

it is yahoo but the chinese version.  works the best for me and my wife,  there are still times i have to use a second program, but for the most part. this works very well.

Lao Gong means husband? holy sh*t!! she called me husband? after only6 hours talking? wow, do all these women make up thier minds this fast?

Thanks Mr. Niel I'll try that tomorrow night when we talk again.

Mr. Mike, she did say that a couple of times when we were talking, and Mr. Dave E we did talk and type about everything you could think of but not anything about soft bones.... what the hell are soft bo..ooohhhh.... never mind hehehe, I know.., although she did at one point ask me if I was a strong male, and told me she was a warm woman, but that we would have to see how we got along.
Lao Gong, wow, I'll tell you all the truth, I am starting to have some feelings for this lady oh her name is Xu Hui.
Thanks for the advice, hints, laugh and the answers, you guys are a fountain of info.
Thanks Buzz I'll give this a try also.

Well thank you mr. Rob, that helps a lot, but I don't think I'll ever go there, it sounds like it might be lost, hahaha, sorry.
Mr. Mike, I think your right about the flirting because she said it a few times and every time she said this she would blush all the way to her upper chest :-[, i thought it was cute and sexy at the same time. ;D
Mr. Willy, ohm, now lets not go to fast here :o, Fiance is a very strong word for just knowing a woman for 6 hours, but my God what a woman ;D :-[

Probably not...you naughty Haggis basher !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"soft bones" has nothing to do with men............ 8) 8)

It is a Chinese woman's expression for "feeling weak at the knees"...if you get my drift ????

Actually the UK is four countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Southern Ireland, Eire, or the Republic of Ireland (whatever you want to call it) is a completely separate nation.
